THE HUMAN SPIRIT FAILS US
UNLESS THE HOLY SPIRIT FILLS US.
Give me one subject to center on in the verse above and it will be the power of the love that the Holy Spirit equips and enables Christ's followers with. As one of the songs I have sung many times in many places says, "The Love of God is Greater Far than tongue or pen can ever tell."
We know that love is of God, and that God is love. He is the Author, Originator, and Creator of love. That love was and is best demonstrated in the gift of His only begotten Son, Who carried it to the extreme by giving His life in our place on Calvary. Through His substitution on my behalf, He gave this dead sinner life, and not just in the physical definition, but in the eternal one.
It is of Him that the Holy Spirit will speak as our constant source. May the Lord bless you through the following verses from 1 John 17-19 that demonstrate the consummation and power of that love showered upon us by His blessed Trinity.
"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
We love Him because He first loved us."
