The Past

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you.
(Isa 44:22)

And you being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you he made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he has taken it out from between [him and us], nailing it to the cross; having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

"Nailed to the cross." Amen.

Dear Lord,
You are soooo amazingly merciful and kind. Thank you for not holding our past against us. Thank you for a new start, another chance. I will not let the enemy haunt me with all my past failures. I will not believe his lies when he taunts and scoffs. Yielded to you this is entirely possible. Negative thoughts will only pull me back down into the pit of despair which is no place for your daughter to be hanging out. So bad thoughts, be gone! In Jesus' name, Amen.

I stand right beside you, thankful that we have a Father who gave so much of Himself, to save us. I was only blessed with one child, but the thought of giving her up, even to save all of mankind, is something I cannot come to terms with. It just shows me how big and bold God's love for us truly is. So let us stand, firmly rooted next to the One who holds our present and future, while mercifully forgiving our pasts. Let us move forward under His guidance and direction, love and grace. To God be the glory, forever !
