Your prayer has been heard and I am joining you in bringing these burdens before the Lord with thanksgiving for your honest and tender heart.

I pray that God will quiet your anxiety and remind you daily that He is with you. Scripture tells us to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us, and to bring every need to Him in prayer, and then His peace which passes understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In this hard month with financial pressure, I pray the Lord will provide for your needs, not with excess for wantonness but with what is necessary for health and life, and that He will give you contentment and trust as you seek first His kingdom. I pray He will send the little blessings and timely help you asked for, opening doors for provision through work, through aid, and through the kindness of others whom He places in your path to help and encourage you.

I lift up your son before the Father. I thank God for his kind, sensitive, and sweet heart and for the purity and innocence you see in him. I pray the Lord will keep him close to Himself, protect that tenderness in him, guard him from all harm and from the anxieties and corruptions of this world, and keep his heart soft to hear the voice of God. I pray your son will grow in faith, continue in a close and living relationship with Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation, and that he will love the Word of God and walk in it all his days.

I pray for your home and your household. I ask that God in His mercy will make a way for you to remain in your apartment and not lose your home, and that He will surround you both with His protection. As you asked, I pray He will command His angels to guard you and give you a peaceful and good holiday season together, filled with His presence rather than fear.

I pray also for your practical needs, that you will continue to do well in your studies, that your financial aid will be sustained, that child support will continue faithfully, and that your son's disability payments will continue without interruption. May the Lord grant you wisdom and strength for each day, establish you in security and freedom from anxious care, and teach you to find your true treasure not in possessions or outward things which quickly fade, but in the unfading beauty of a life adorned with faith, love, and holiness before Him.

Father, I place this mother and her son into Your hands. Provide for them, protect them, give them peace, and draw them ever closer to You through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about this hard month and the anxiety you have been carrying. I have prayed for you and your son and I want you to know God sees exactly where you are.

Being a child of God does not mean we are kept from problems or battles, and you are feeling that reality right now. Scripture never promises a life without hardship, but it does promise that the Lord is with His people in the hardship and that He is able to work through very difficult circumstances to provide for them. Just as God moved an entire empire so that Mary and Joseph would be in Bethlehem to fulfill what was spoken about where the Messiah would be born, He is sovereign over the details of your life too, over housing and finances and school and every need that feels so heavy right now. Nothing is too small or too large for Him to arrange for your good.

I prayed that the Lord would quiet your anxious heart and give you His peace as you bring every concern to Him, and that He would provide for you day by day, including those little blessings and helps that remind you He has not forgotten you. I asked Him to keep you in your apartment and to continue to sustain you through your studies, through financial aid, through child support and through your son's disability payments. God knows these practical needs and He is able to open doors, to move on the hearts of others, and to bring the divine help and intervention you have asked for. I also prayed that His protection would be around you both in this holiday season, that as Psalm says His angels would encamp around those who fear Him.

Your son is a precious gift. Jesus once placed a little child in the midst of His disciples and taught that we must become humble like a little child to enter the kingdom, and that the greatest in the kingdom are those who humble themselves in that way. He also said that whoever receives one such little child in His name receives Him, and He warned us to take care that we do not despise or look down on one of these little ones, because their angels always behold the face of the Father. Your son's kind, sensitive, sweet and pure heart is beautiful to God, and his simple trust is exactly the kind of faith Jesus treasures. How terrible it would be for anyone to try to tear down that faith, and how blessed is your desire to protect it.

I prayed that God would guard that tenderness and purity in him, that He would keep his heart soft toward Him and that your son would continue to know how to hear the Lord's voice. One of the best ways to nurture that is to help him move beyond memorized words into speaking to God from his own heart, telling Jesus what he is thankful for and what he needs in his own simple language. Scripture speaks of a mother who prayed for years for a child and then gave that child back to the Lord, bringing him to serve Him, and God honored that dedication. In that same way you can daily place your son in God's hands, asking God to fulfill His purpose for his life.

The Bible says to train up a child in the way he should go, and that phrase also carries the idea of training according to his own way, recognizing that each child has his own personality and bent. Your son's sensitivity is part of how God made him. Training him will take steady, loving and patient instruction, much like teaching a child to walk. You expect stumbles and you gently lift him up, you guide and correct with love so that foolishness is put far from him and wisdom takes root. God will give you wisdom for that daily work as you keep pointing him to Jesus.

May the Lord draw you both closer to Himself in the weeks ahead, keep you close to each other, and show you in very tangible ways that He is providing, protecting and leading you step by step.

Father, I lift this dear mother and her precious son to You in the name of Jesus. You see her anxiety about finances and her home and her schooling. Be near to her, let her feel Your presence, and give her Your peace that passes understanding as she casts her cares on You. Provide for every need, sustain her housing, her studies, her support and her son's needs, and send the help You know is needed at the right time. Place Your hand of protection over her son, keep his heart tender and pure, guard his faith in Jesus, and teach him to know Your voice and to walk with You all his days. Give his mother wisdom and patience to train him according to how You have made him. Surround them both with Your care and Your angels and make this season one of Your nearness and provision. Amen.
