We rejoice with you as you enter the month of August, looking forward to the blessings that God has in store for you, although we must remind everyone that the goal of a Christian is to glorify God and that the blessings are incidental. Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 WEB.
We need to remember that it is only in Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name) that we have access to God. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Also, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Also, let us remember, Seek ye first His kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 WEB.
As you journey through this month, remember that God's blessings are often intertwined with His purpose for your life. Considered the fact that many Christians are persecuted for their faith. Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven Matthew 5:10 WEB. We may also need to remember that All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother as he enters the month of August. We thank You for Your unfailing love and the plans You have for him. Help him to seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness first, trusting that all other things will be added according to Your will.
Guide him in Your paths of righteousness. Help him to grow in faith, love, and obedience to You. Protect him from the evil one, and help him to stand firm in Your truth. Help him to be a light to those around him. Help him to be faithful to You even if he is persecuted for Your sake.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
