"I'll make up for the years of the locust, the great locust devastation—Locusts savage, locusts deadly, fierce locusts, locusts of doom, That great locust invasion I sent your way." Joel 2:25 (MSG)
What a promise from our Lord. I must admit that I have learned a lot and my trust in Lord has a deeper root now after going through this experience called separation of marriage. Beloved, no matter our situation, let us learn to trust in the Lord. I have a sorrowful heart as I write this devotion, but my God has strengthened me to do so.
The Lord showed me a wonderful illustration on how he was going to restore my marriage. In Africa, our lights do go off often and this particular time, we slept half through the night with no light so I lit a candle and put it outside my room door so the hallway will have light. When my husband came home, he realized there were no more candles so he went out and bought a pack. He also lit his candle and put it outside his door. At that time, the candle by my door had run out.
When I got up the next day for my morning devotion, I realized that there were two saucers outside the hallway. My husband had left for work so as I picked up the saucers. The one by my husband's door fell and broke into two leaving a few pieces on the floor. We still live in the same house even though we have been separated for many months.
God spoke to me and said, “Clean the floor and take the broken pieces.†I followed His instructions. He told me to use the super glue. I obeyed and He instructed me to put the glue on one side and stick the other piece tightly together. I did and after a few minutes that broken saucer was back to normal again. The only difference is that I could see a line through the saucer but it worked perfectly like before. Under normal circumstances, I would have thrown the saucer in the trash but God wanted to show me His plan.
Then Lord he said to me, “After I restore, the scares will be there but it won't hurt anymore. It will be a sign for you to share with my people what your Lord did in your life and in your marriage.†I immediately took a picture of the broken saucer to remind me of what the Lord said He will do.
"God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" Numbers 23:19
My dear standers, let us hope in the Lord for Him to show us His marvelous signs of restoration. His promises are new every morning and He will be faithful to the end. Close your ears, eyes, nose and senses from the world and their remarks and look to Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith. Families and friends might discourage you but our Lord Jesus Christ will always encourage you. Believe and trust in the Lord. T.R.U.S.T (To Rely Unto Spirit Totally)
While he was still talking, some people came from the leader’s house and told him, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher anymore?†Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, “Don’t listen to them; just trust me." Mark 5: 35-36 (MSG)
Does he who fashioned the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see? Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge? The LORD knows all human plans; he knows that they are futile. Psalm 94:9-11
Waiting on my restoration,
