We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We hear your longing to be healed and to experience a much better quality of life, and we stand together with you seeking God's mercy, healing and peace over your mind, body and spirit.
We know that the Lord sees your suffering and He is near to you in it. Scripture tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to the promise that For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He understands the distress, confusion and weariness that can come with schizo-affective disorder and schizophrenia, and He promises His presence and strength, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We notice you prayed to the Lord, and we want to gently encourage you in the precious truth that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, forgiveness of sins and assurance of eternal life when we put our trust in Him, believing that He died for our sins and rose again. We pray you know that hope and nearness through Jesus personally, for He is our healer, our peace and our advocate.
We lift you up together in prayer. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring our dear one before You. You know the struggle with schizo-affective disorder and schizophrenia, every symptom, every thought, every sleepless night and every hope for healing. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch this life with Your healing hand according to Your will. Restore health, bring clarity and soundness of mind, calm fears and grant Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We pray for a much better quality of life, for restful sleep, for stable thoughts, for joy and for strength for each day. We ask You to guide doctors, counselors and those who provide care, and to surround this dear one with supportive community and with Your Word. Help us to cast all anxiety on You, knowing You care for us, and to experience In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We trust Your goodness and Your power to heal, to sustain and to make Your grace sufficient in every circumstance. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek both spiritual and practical help while you wait on the Lord. Remain in prayer and in the Word, stay connected to a Bible believing church family who can walk with you, and continue with trusted medical and counseling care, for God often works through those means as well. When distressing thoughts come, bring them to Him in prayer, meditate on His promises and remember that He is with you and will not forsake you. We are praying for your healing, for steady improvement, for peace of mind and for a life filled with hope and purpose in Christ, and we thank God for your gratitude and faith as you reach out for prayer.
