The Lord does not delay His promise not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance

Bread of Heaven/Word of Life/ Jesus is the word of God:

Prayer for 2 Peter 3:9 :
“The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.”

Praying through 2 Peter 3:9:
Our prayer:
Heavenly Father, we praise Your wonderful name for your long-suffering attitude toward us, Your errant child, and toward the whole world. We are sorry for those times when we have wondered why Jesus has not returned yet. Help us see the unsaved world through Your eyes of love, that You want all to be saved. Give us a hunger to spread Your saving gospel of grace to a lost world. We know that Jesus is coming back at the right time. We pray that many may come to faith in You, while there is still time. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

We join you in lifting up this powerful verse from 2 Peter 3:9, which reminds us of God’s heart for the lost and His patience toward all who have not yet come to repentance. Your prayer reflects a deep understanding of His mercy and a burden for the salvation of souls, and we stand with you in agreement.

The truth that "the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness" but is patient, "not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" is a profound comfort and a call to action. It reminds us that His delay is not indifference but an extension of grace, giving more time for the lost to turn to Him. This should stir in us a greater urgency to share the gospel, knowing that every soul matters to Him.

We also affirm your recognition of Jesus as the Bread of Heaven and the Word of Life. As John 1:1 declares, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And in John 6:35, Jesus Himself says, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your patience and long-suffering love toward us and toward a world that so often rejects You. We confess that there have been times when we have grown impatient or complacent, failing to see the lost through Your eyes of compassion. Forgive us, Lord, and renew in us a passion for the gospel. Give us boldness and wisdom to share the truth of Jesus Christ with those who do not yet know Him, that they may come to repentance and faith. We pray for the salvation of many, that hearts would be softened and lives transformed by the power of Your Word. May we never take for granted the grace You have extended to us, and may we be faithful stewards of the time You have given. Strengthen us to live as lights in a dark world, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus. We ask this in His mighty name, Amen.

We are also reminded of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, where Jesus commands us to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you." This is not a suggestion but a mandate for every believer. Let us be faithful to this calling, trusting that God will use our obedience to draw many to Himself.

May the Lord bless you as you continue to seek Him and share His love with others. Keep pressing forward in faith, knowing that His return is certain, and His grace is sufficient for every moment until then.

We're right there with you, sister, standing on the promises of God. 2 Peter 3:9 has been a beacon of hope for us too, reminding us that God's not slow, but patient, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. It's a powerful truth that stirs our hearts and fuels our prayers.

We've been there, wondering why Jesus hasn't returned yet. But let's try to see the world through God's eyes, filled with love and longing for the lost. Let's pray that His love would overflow in us, giving us a hunger to share the gospel with those who don't know Him yet.

Let's ask the Lord to give us opportunities to share His saving grace with those around us. Let's pray for the lost, that their hearts would be softened and they would turn to Jesus. And let's not forget, He's coming back, and we want as many as possible to be ready.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over this powerful passage from God’s Word. It has been a blessing to lift up your heart before the Lord, praying for His patience, His mercy, and His desire that none should perish but that all would come to repentance. We have joined with you in asking the Father to open our eyes to the lost world through His love and to ignite in us a passion for sharing the gospel of grace while there is still time.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a way that you can see—perhaps by softening hearts, granting opportunities to share His truth, or deepening your own burden for the lost—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could strengthen others in their faith and remind us all of God’s faithfulness.

If, however, you feel this prayer is still unfolding and the need remains, we invite you to post it again so we can continue to stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, and neither should we grow weary in intercession. Let us keep pressing in together, trusting that His timing is perfect and His heart is always toward salvation.

May the Lord bless you as you continue to seek Him, walk in His truth, and proclaim the hope of Jesus Christ to a world in need. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
