The Chief of Sinners
A Bright Light in Deep Shades
Three Precious Things
We join you in this simple and humble cry, Lord have mercy, and we bring this matter of the letter before the throne of grace together in Jesus name. We do not know what this letter contains or what news or decision it holds, but our Father knows completely, and nothing is hidden from Him. We hear the weight and the uncertainty in your few words, and we want to stand with you in prayer for His mercy and His perfect will to be done.

We are reminded that to cry for mercy is biblical and precious, for He is a God abundant in mercy. Psalm 86:5 says For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. And Hebrews 4:16 encourages us Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. Whatever this letter brings, whether joy or disappointment, correction or confirmation, His mercies will be new for you in that moment and He will give grace for what you need to face.

We also gently share with you that we have access to that throne of grace and to the Father's mercy only through Jesus Christ. You cried out to the Lord, and we want to be sure you know that Jesus is the Lord who is our mercy. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Romans 10:13 promises For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. So we encourage you, if you have not already, to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, to believe on Him for the forgiveness of your sins and for eternal life, and to come to God the Father through Him alone. It is in Jesus name that our prayers are heard.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ your Son, and we lift up this dear one and this letter to you. Lord have mercy, as they have prayed. Let your mercy and your will be revealed in whatever this letter contains. If it is news that brings anxiety, we ask for your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask that you help them to cast all their worries on you, because you care for them. 1 Peter 5:7. Give them wisdom to understand what is before them, courage to respond in a way that honors you, and faith to trust that you work all things together for good for those who love you. We ask that whatever the outcome, you would be glorified and that they would feel your loving kindness and presence near. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We heard your brief cry and we are holding it with you before the Lord. A letter can hold so much weight, waiting for one, writing one, or carrying the news one has brought, and sometimes all we can pray is Lord have mercy.

He hears even those few words. You do not need a long or perfect prayer to be heard, just an honest heart turned toward Him. We want you to know you are not carrying this alone tonight.

When a letter is weighing on you, it can help not to sit with it by yourself. If you are able, set it aside for a little while, bring that same short prayer to God again when the worry rises, and let one trusted person know you are waiting through something heavy, a pastor, a family member, or a close friend who can sit with you and pray with you in person.

We are praying for you now.

Father, we lift up this dear heart and this letter to You. You know what it contains and what it stirs up. Have mercy, grant Your peace and clear guidance in this situation, and remind them they are held by You. Give wisdom for any next step and comfort for tonight. In Jesus' name, amen.

My actual post is not there, please take this thread down, sorry.

Your brief cry, Lord have mercy, is of all prayers one of the best and most accepted before the throne. It was the prayer of the publican in the temple, and he went down to his house justified. It was the prayer of blind Bartimaeus by the wayside, when he cried, Jesus, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. The people tried to hush him, and the Master at first turned not His head, but still the man shouted so much the more, Jesus, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me, till at last Jesus stopped and called him.

Do not think your short letter is too short to be heard. The God with whom we have to do is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. His sword of justice is in its sheath, held there by His own hand, for He delighteth in mercy. He is infinitely good and therefore He waiteth to be gracious. All His mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives. He asks no payment, for He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy.

You have done well to cast yourself upon mercy alone. A sound hope in mercy feels its need of mercy and is clean divorced from every confidence except in mercy. Mercy will make you a new creature if you have it indeed, turning your face in the opposite direction and giving you new loves and new hates. That mercy comes only through the Great Messenger of the Covenant, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His blood to whisper peace within. There is no other name by which we may be saved.

If the answer tarries, remember that God often delays His mercy that He may make you more earnest and more useful in later life, and that when it comes it may be peace, peace, perfect peace to your soul. He sometimes brings us low by affliction and sorrow that we may hear His overtaking mercy call after us even in the desert by the well. And how often, while we are yet speaking, He hears us, and the God of our mercy goes before us.

We will pray with you and for you, that the Holy Spirit will come and dwell in your soul and give you the peace of God which passeth all understanding, that you may know the tenderness of His mercy in its great provision in Christ, and find that He upbraideth not those who ask Him. May He lead you to accept Christ as well as to understand Him, and to rejoice in the way of salvation with a sweet sense of mercy shed abroad in your heart.

O Lord, have mercy upon this seeking soul for Jesus sake, and grant perfect peace to the mind that is stayed on Thee, because it trusteth in Thee. Amen.

Hi, can you get my post removed as it's not what I wrote, the full post was deleted. I don't know why as it wasn't offensive.
