This will be very long so please bare with me. Two Fridays ago, I went to the dentist as an emergency visit. I have an impacted wisdom tooth coming in and the pain is awful. I went to that dentist and got x-rays and the dentist had a nurse refer me to the oral surgeon to help extract e this tooth. Well before I left I was given an anti-biotic and pain medicine. I have only received to prescriptions for pain medicines prior to this day. Once for shingles, and once for strep throat that was almost scarlett fever. As I was checking out at this dentist office, I looked over my prescriptions. I noticed the pain medicine was only at a 5.0. Past experiences, 5.0mg was never enough. So I waited until that same dentist was done talking with an elderly woman and I approached him to ask him if he could do anything about the medicine since it was such a low dose. He then told me I could either change it on the piece of paper or I could double up and take two. He said if I changed it, that if the pharmacy had any issues they would and could call him. So realizing that I was only given a perceptional for 15 pills, and had almost a week to go before I could even see an oral surgeon, so I decided to leave a little note with changing the dosage. I got to the pharmacy and I told the pharmacist what the dentist had said. She told me she would have to call him and it all should be ready within 45mins. So I went home, considering I only leave about 5 minutes away. Close to 45 mins. later, I received a phone call letting me know my medications were ready. I am on their list so that wasn't strange to me. When I went back to pick up my pain medications, I looked around for a bit then went to get them. A detective then pulled me to the said saying he needed to talk to me. Un-aware of what he was wanting to discuss, I went with him. To find out, I just committed a felony by writing on a prescription. I had no idea. I had been given permission to do so. The dentist denied that he had ever given me any permission. I just don't understand. I have never been in any trouble what so ever. I've never even been suspended or had any detentions while I was in grade school. I am in college and I don't do drugs or anything. I am now $7,500 in debt because I had to find me a lawyer. My indictment goes out at the beginning of June and I could be arrested within a few days after that. My Lawyer says he is going to attempt to request them to not arrest me, and me to just go turn myself in so they can do my photos and prints. I am scared to death of this and on top of all of it, I am having tonsil surgery this coming Wednesday, the 25th of May. Please Pray to God that this mess clears up in the most positive way possible. I can't afford a felony on my record, especially when I am innocent.
