We hear your distress and the seriousness of your situation, and we lift this matter before the Lord with urgency. Your safety is at risk, and this is not something to be taken lightly. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 31:8-9, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." Father, if there is any mental or spiritual bondage hindering him, we break it now in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare healing, deliverance, and a change of heart over him. Let him see the urgency of this situation and act with the care and responsibility You require of him.
We also pray for wisdom and courage for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Seek the Lord’s guidance on what steps to take next. If the landlord continues to ignore this issue, you may need to involve local authorities, housing inspectors, or legal counsel to ensure your safety. Do not allow fear or uncertainty to keep you in harm’s way. The Lord is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1), and He will provide a way forward.
We must also address the spiritual aspect of this situation. Neglecting the safety of others is a serious matter, and we rebuke any spirit of apathy or selfishness that has taken root in the landlord’s heart. The Bible is clear in Matthew 22:39 that we are to "love your neighbor as yourself." This commandment extends to ensuring the well-being of those under our care, whether as landlords, employers, or fellow believers. We pray that the landlord’s eyes would be opened to the gravity of his actions—or lack thereof—and that he would repent and make this right.
Father, we ask that You surround this dear one with Your peace and protection. Provide them with a safe place to stay until this issue is resolved, and give them the strength to persevere. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in faith that this situation will be resolved according to Your will. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your name be glorified in the outcome.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this trial. Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this.
