The Importance Of Biblical Seperation!

BIBLICAL SEPARATION!

By Bibleman

The Bible plainly teaches that all Christians must separate from an ungodly lifestyle and from friendships that are ungodly. Separation from all worldly and ungodly influences enables us to not be overcome by the world or conformed to its ways (Rom. 12:2).

WHY SEPARATION?

Sin separates us from having a relationship with God (Isa. 59:2). Those who belong to a secular or nonChristian organization will become a partaker of that organizations evil deeds (Rev. 18:4). Fellowship with unbelievers is prohibited. Such people can lead you into sin and disfavor with God (Ex. 33:15,16; Josh. 23:13; Prov. 28:19). We cannot be holy before God if we do not remain separate from such people and their organizations (Lev. 20:26).
SINNERS AND UNBELIEVERS The Bible admonishes Christians to resist and refrain from any fellowship with sinners and unbelievers. Do not let them entice you to go to their parties, play their games, or participate in their evil deeds (Prov. 1:10-15; 1 Cor. 5:9; 2 Cor. 6:14). Avoid them and forsake them completely and go in the way of understanding (Prov. 9:9; 14:7). Do not even let your own unsaved relatives entice you into avenues of sin with them. Such can become like snares and traps, scourges in your side or like thorns in your eyes! If you consent to their fellowship they can lead you to ruin (Deut. 13:6; Josh. 23:13). Marriage to unbelievers or allowing your children to have fellowship with those who are unbelievers can anger God and bring severe curses (Deut. 7:3,4; 12:30; Ezra 9:1,2,12). God’s commands are to make no covenants with them or become members of their false churches, clubs, secret societies and organizations (Gen. 49:6; Rev. 18:4). Depart away from them and come out of their organizations (Num. 16:26; Rev. 18:4). Separate from all unbelievers and renounce your involvement in their organizations, clubs, and churches. Confess your involvement and fellowship with unbelievers to God and then seek His will for your life and go in the ways of understanding (Prov. 14:7; Ezra 10:11).

CULTISTS AND OCCULTISTS

Have nothing to do with occultists and avoid them at all costs. Christians must never have any fellowship with cult members or occultists. Don’t even touch anything that belongs to them. The things belonging to such people are considered by God to be unclean and defiling. Therefore when they come to your door to hand out literature do not accept their unclean literature or receive them into your home. If you do so and if you say to them “God Bless You” you become a partaker of their evil deeds (2 Jn. 10). Have no fellowship with any of them and resist their invitations to their churches or groups (2 Cor. 6:14-17). You are permitted to witness the truth to them and try to reprove them and turn them away from their errors but if they resist the truth have no more dealing with them (Eph. 5:11; Amos 3:3).

FALSE CHRISTIANS

Beware also of false Christians! Avoid those who do not believe in the truth of God’s word (Rom. 16:17). Withdraw yourselves from the company of those who call themselves Christians but who walk in sin and disobey the word of God (1 Cor. 5:11; 2 Thes. 3:6). The Bible tells us not to consider them as an enemy but to admonish them as a brother. Turn away from the worldly and lukewarm Christians who are characterized by self-love, pride, disobedience, unholiness, pleasure mindedness, materialism, coveteousness and who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof (2 Tim. 3:2-7). We are to withdraw ourselves from the teachings and churches of all false teachers. Those who fail to teach the whole truth or who teach pernicious doctrines are to be avoided (1 Tim. 6:3-5). True Ministers of the gospel will live a holy and righteous life and will bring forth much good fruit. They will not be caught in scandals nor will they be like a ravening wolf after your money (Mt. 7:15-23). Avoid Roman Catholicism and all of its heretical groups and associations. If you are a member of any Catholic group or church that is associated with Roman Catholicism the Bible commands you to come out of it and remain separated from such (Rev. 18:1-4). Groups that used to be Christian but no longer abide by the word of God, like the YMCA, should also be avoided. Any organization that claims to be Christian yet allows unbelievers to become members or that endorses and participates in ungodly activities and programs must be avoided.

DANGEROUS FELLOWSHIPS

Dangerous and ungodly fellowships only corrupt, defile and pollute a Christians conduct and walk with God (1 Cor. 15:33). Do not fall from your own stedfastness or be led away by the errors of the ungodly (2 Pet. 3:17). Do not allow such fellowships to hinder your personal relationship with Christ (2 Cor. 13:5; Mt. 12:50; 1 Jn. 1:6). If your relationship with Christ is hindered you will be less fruitful and many of your prayers will go unanswered (Jn. 15:4-7). As you become a partaker of their evil deeds (Ps. 50:18; Rev. 18:4) you will receive the same judgments and curses from God which result in hardship and grief (Josh. 13:12) poverty (Prov. 28:19) imprisonment, spiritual bondage (2 Pet. 2:18,19), spiritual and physical destruction (Josh. 13:12; Ezra 9:14; Num. 25:1-5). Don’t let yourself fall from your commitment and dedication to Christ because of being led into the errors of the wicked (2 Pet. 3:17), be defiled and corrupted in your conduct (Jn. 18:28; 1 Cor. 15:33) be overcome by evil lusts and brought into spiritual bondage to Satan (2 Pet. 2:18,19), fall into serious sin, fall from grace (Ex. 33:15-34) or loose your soul (Lk. 21:34,35; Rev. 3:5)?

COME OUT!

God wants to walk with His people and be their God. He wants His people to walk in holiness and separate themselves from their own personal sins and from the company of sinners who would lead them astray. God wants His people to be sanctified or holy and set apart from the wicked (Lev. 20:26). Be like King David who did not sit with vain persons, wicked people or the congregation of evil doers (Ps. 26:4). Come out of any secret societies or false religions you may be involved in such as the Masons or the Skull and Bones. The Bible condemns involvement in such wicked organizations and their false gods (Ex. 22:32; 34:12; Deut. 7:2; Ecc. 12:14). Separate yourselves from the filthiness of the heathen and seek the Lord (Ezra 6:21). Come out from among them and be converted from the error of their ways (Lk. 22:32). Come out of the mystery Babylonian cults such as Roman Catholicism and apostate Protestantism (Rev. 18:1-4). Do not keep company with any Christians who walk in sin and live like the heathen (1 Cor. 5:11). Choose fellowship with true God-fearing Christian friends, organizations and churches who obey the word of God and who have mutual faith with you (Ps. 55:14; 119:63; Rom. 1:12; 1 Jn. 1:3). Sever all friendships with the world (Jam. 4:4) and be not conformed to their ways (Isa. 22:13; Mt. 24: 38,39; Rom. 12:2; 1 Jn. 2:15-17). Don’t allow worldly Christians or covetous preachers to pollute your walk with God (2 Pet. 2:12-15; Jude 11:19). Have no fellowship with any person or group that does not teach or practice the truth or that walks in darkness. These would include occultists and witches (1 Cor. 10:20), the unrighteous even those who claim to be Christian but walk in sin (2 Cor. 6:14; 1 Jn. 1:7), and any who are unfruitful or who walk in darkness (Eph. 5:11).
Heavenly Father, please forgive me of my sinful fellowships. Forgive me of my involvement in any groups, churches or organizations that are not genuinely Christian. I renounce my involvement and participation in any secret society, false church or religion. Forgive me of friendships I have made with those who walk in darkness. Forgive me of any sins I have committed with these people or groups. I choose to come out of these groups and I renounce my memberships in them. I will no longer keep company with sinners, false Christians, occultists, secret society members, cultists, pagans, and evil doers. Cleanse me of these sins so I can walk in the light and have fellowship with Your Son, Jesus Christ, in His name I pray, amen! (1 Jn. 1:1-10)
