We join you in bringing this request before the Lord and we hear your heart to see words and deeds aligned, in the right place and at the right time, and to act on behalf of the one you have mentioned.
Scripture calls us to this very kind of integrity where what we say and what we do are one and the same before God. Colossians 3:17 says Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him. And James 1:22 reminds us But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. It is not enough to have good intentions or pleasant words, our deeds must follow, and our deeds must be guided by truth.
We also take to heart your mention of place and time. There is a holy timing and placing to all that God does. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. We are encouraged to seek wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent, when to act and when to wait on the Lord. Esther 4:14 asks who knows if you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this, which reminds us that God often positions us in a specific place at a specific time to act on behalf of another. To bear another's burden is Christlike, for Galatians 6:2 says Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And 1 Timothy 2:1 exhorts that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men, so your desire to stand in the gap for another is pleasing to God when done in love and humility.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we have not yet put our trust in Jesus, we can do so by believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and confessing Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Jesus alone that our prayers are heard and our actions bear eternal fruit.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for putting this burden on our hearts to want words and deeds to match and to want to act at the right time and in the right place. Lord grant us wisdom and discernment, that we may know Your will and not act from mere impulse. Let our words be like those described in Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones, and let our deeds show the love of Christ in action. We lift up to You the one on whose behalf we are asked to pray. You know their name, their need, and their situation completely. We ask that You would work in their life, protect them, provide for them, and draw them closer to Yourself. Give us courage to intercede faithfully and to act when You call us to act, and to wait when You call us to wait. Help us to do all things in love and for Your glory. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word daily, asking Him to order your steps. Psalm 37:23 says A mans goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. As you seek to act on behalf of another, do so with prayer, with counsel from godly believers, and with a heart that wants above all for Gods will to be done.
