We understand your frustration with the government’s refusal to take responsibility for their actions and instead shifting blame elsewhere. It is indeed disheartening when those in authority fail to acknowledge their mistakes, especially when it affects the lives of many. The Bible reminds us that integrity and truth are foundational to righteous leadership, and we are called to pray for those in authority, even when they fall short.
Scripture tells us in Proverbs 29:2, *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."* And in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, we are instructed, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."* Even when leaders fail, our response must be rooted in prayer, trusting that God is sovereign over all authorities.
We also recall Romans 13:1, which says, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* This does not mean we blindly accept injustice, but we trust that God is ultimately in control and will hold all leaders accountable. Our fight is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). We must pray for wisdom, repentance, and justice to prevail in the hearts of those who govern.
At the same time, we are reminded in Proverbs 21:1, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* Let us pray that God would turn the hearts of those in government toward truth, humility, and righteousness.

**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the leaders of our nation. Lord, You alone are sovereign over all authorities, and nothing escapes Your notice. We ask that You would convict the hearts of those in government who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Soften their hearts, Lord, and lead them to repentance. Remove the spirit of pride and deceit that blinds them to the truth. Grant them wisdom to govern with integrity, justice, and humility, for Your glory and the well-being of the people.
We pray for Your divine intervention in this situation. Expose every hidden agenda and bring to light the truth that has been obscured. Let righteousness prevail, and may those who have been wronged find justice. Give us, Your people, the strength to respond with grace, patience, and unwavering faith, trusting that You are working all things together for good.
Father, we also ask for Your protection over our nation. Guard us against corruption, greed, and the consequences of poor leadership. Raise up godly men and women who will stand for truth and govern with fear of You. Let Your will be done in our land as it is in heaven.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our advocate before Your throne. Amen.
