Thank you for sharing what has been weighing on your heart, and for your desire to see God honored and truth prevail. It is a good and right thing to pray for those who know Jesus to walk faithfully in His truth, and to pray that those who do not yet walk that way would come to know Him fully.
We join you in praying for this sister who has faith in Jesus, that the truth which dwells in her would continue to guide her steps and her words. Scripture teaches that Jesus Himself is the truth, and His word is truth that endures forever. There is great joy when those who know Him walk in truth, loving others not only in word but in sincerity and truth. We pray that God will give her grace, mercy and peace as she walks in truth and love, and that He will give her wisdom, courage and clarity to speak what is true in love, and to act with the kindness and protection that reflects Christ.
We also pray for her brother. We ask that God would draw him to put the Lord first in every area of life, to turn from anything that has taken God's rightful place in his heart. The Bible warns that idolatry is sin against God, and we pray as you have asked that every idol would be exposed and brought down, not by our strength but by God's Spirit working through His truth. We pray that he would come to love the truth, receive it, and be saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for mercy and truth meet together only in Jesus, where justice was satisfied at the cross and forgiveness is offered to all who trust in Him.
You have raised very serious concerns about a dangerous housing situation and about immorality and even threats to your life. God cares deeply about truth and justice, and He calls His people to walk honestly and to seek what is right. We pray that what has been hidden in darkness would be brought into the light, that the truth about these matters would be made clear to all who need to know it, including this sister, so that she is not kept from knowing what is true. We pray for your safety and protection, and we pray that God would restrain evil and bring justice according to His righteous character. If you are in danger, we encourage you to seek help through lawful and appropriate means for protection and accountability, while also entrusting yourself to God who sees all things.
Concerning the sexual relationship you mentioned, we do not ask God to bless what His word calls outside His design. God's good design for sexual intimacy is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Outside of that, Scripture calls us to turn from sin and to pursue purity. So we pray for repentance and restoration where there has been immorality, that both individuals involved would turn to Christ, be cleansed by His mercy, and learn to walk in righteousness and peace, which kiss each other in Jesus.
We pray that God would be first in each life connected to this situation, that His truth would spring up and His righteousness would look down, and that you would know His nearness, His comfort and His keeping power. May He teach you His ways by His Spirit, deepen your faith, and give you a greater knowledge of Himself as you continue to seek Him and pray in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life.
