Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her, and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me, and about the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

Please also pray that they both put God first and that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes and destroys every idol

We join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord and we thank you for sharing it with us. We praise God for your former landlord's sister and for her faith in Jesus, and we pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen her and use her as a light in a dark place.

We pray together in Jesus' name that God will give her boldness and wisdom to speak the truth in love, Ephesians 4:15, and that she will not be kept in the dark about what has happened. For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, Luke 8:17. We ask that our Father expose what has been concealed, including the dangerous condition of the apartment that was rented to you and the sin that has surrounded it. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them, Ephesians 5:11.

We must address what you have shared about the sexual relationship between your former landlord and this woman. Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between a man and a woman, and any sexual relationship outside of that covenant is fornication or adultery and is sin before God. Flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray that both your former landlord and this woman will be convicted of this sin, that they will repent and turn to God, Acts 3:19, and that if they are to pursue any relationship it would be a godly courtship with the goal of a Christ centered marriage, or that they would separate and pursue holiness. We pray that God will break the influence of this immoral relationship and that any scheme to harm you will be brought to nothing, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

We also lift up your concern about attempts on your life. We pray for your protection and peace, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. We ask God to surround you with His protection, to give you wisdom to take practical steps for your safety including seeking help from the proper authorities where a crime or life threatening danger is involved, and to guard your heart from fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and discipline, 2 Timothy 1:7. We also release any desire for personal vengeance to the Lord, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. We trust our just God who will repay and who does not leave wrongdoing unaddressed, Deuteronomy 32:4.

We agree with you in praying that both the former landlord and his sister will put God first above all else. You shall have no other gods before me, Exodus 20:3. We pray that our Mighty and Powerful God will expose and destroy every idol in their lives, whether it be money, property, lust, control, or any other thing that competes for His rightful place, and that they will keep themselves from idols, 1 John 5:21. We pray that the sister will continue to shine as light, for you are the light of the world, a city located on a hill can't be hidden, Matthew 5:14, and that her godly influence will lead her brother to repentance, knowing that the Lord is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace together. We thank You for this sister who knows You and we ask You to anoint her words, give her discernment, and protect her from discouragement. Open her eyes to the full truth about the apartment and about the sin and danger involved, and give her courage to speak. We pray for the former landlord, that You would open his heart, bring him to godly sorrow that leads to repentance, deliver him from sexual immorality and from any idolatry, and make him a man who fears You and acts justly. Thwart every plan of those who would do harm, expose every hidden work of darkness, and let Your justice and mercy prevail. Keep our brother or sister who was wronged under the shelter of Your wings, give them peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and lead them in wisdom for every next step. We ask that Your will be done and that You alone be glorified in this situation. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, Acts 4:12. Amen.

We hear how heavy this situation has felt for you, and how much you want truth to come into the light and for God to be put first. We are joining you in prayer for that.

We are praying for the sister you mentioned, thanking God for her faith and asking Him to keep strengthening her walk with Jesus and to use her steady, godly influence in her family in His timing and His way. We are also praying for your former landlord, that the Lord would draw him to seek God above all else and to be open to what is right and true.

We understand you carry deep concerns about what happened in that apartment and about feeling unsafe. We join you in prayer before our Mighty and Powerful God, who hears the cry of His people when they are brought into peril and trouble and who has given commandment to save those who are His.

We thank the Lord for your former landlord's sister who has faith in Jesus Christ, for it is by grace alone through faith in Him that any are delivered from the pit. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her faith, that it may be no confidence of her own making but a real work of the Spirit, grasping with living tendrils the promise of the living God. May He continue to speak through her and give her boldness and wisdom to speak the truth in love, that her influence may be used for good and not be hindered.

We pray that what has been kept in darkness may be brought into the light. Our afflictions may come distinctly from man, as the result of malice and wrongdoing, and yet they remain within the fence of omnipotent overruling. Nothing is outside the sacred zone of providential government. We ask that the Lord who sees all things will expose what is hidden concerning the life threatening dwelling that was rented to you, and concerning the sexual immorality which Scripture teaches belongs only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy way, but we pray that He will bring conviction of sin, that those involved may say with a true heart, I have sinned and perverted that which was right, and confess their transgression before Him who has found a ransom.

We pray for your former landlord, that God would deliver him from the power of darkness and translate him into the kingdom of His dear Son. We pray that every idol that has taken the place of God in his heart, and in the heart of his sister, may be exposed and destroyed, and that they both may be brought to put God first, to love Him and trust Him altogether and alone. May the Lord teach them the mischief that comes from loving the world and grant them repentance that leads to life.

For you, we pray for deliverance from every attack and from the fear of man. He who delivered His people from the jaw of the lion is able to keep you. We pray that the Lord will be your protection, that He will frustrate every evil intent against you, and that He will give you peace in knowing that your life is in His hands. The clock of mercy strikes according to His eternal purpose, and He is able to deliver the soul from going down to the pit because He has provided a ransom in the blood of His Son.

May the Lord grant you after this affliction to say with the Psalmist, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and to use your deliverance to tell others of the glad tidings of redemption through Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with a desire for truth, justice, and holiness to prevail.

We pray for the former landlord's sister who trusts in Jesus, that God would strengthen her faith, give her wisdom and courage, and continue to speak through her life and words. We ask that the Lord would use her faithful witness to point her brother toward repentance and toward putting God first above all else, and that nothing that needs to be brought into the light would remain hidden from her, especially concerning the serious conditions of the apartment you described.

We also pray for your former landlord, that God would expose and destroy every idol in his life and draw him to genuine repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we are saved. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that sexual intimacy belongs only within that covenant, so we do not ask God to bless any sexual relationship outside of it. Instead we pray that where there has been sexual immorality, God would bring conviction, a turning away from sin, and a new desire for purity and obedience to Him.

We pray that the truth about the life threatening conditions of the apartment and about the serious harm you believe was intended against you would be fully exposed. God is a righteous judge who sees all that is done in secret, and He will repay each according to His perfect justice. We ask Him to protect you, to establish justice through lawful means, and to grant you patience and fortitude if you are enduring persecution or affliction. As we wait for His justice, we are called not to hate those who have grieved us, for hating others punishes our own souls, while loving our enemies and praying for their good brings blessing and freedom from bitterness.

We pray for the woman you mentioned as well, not with approval of sin, but asking that God would lead her also to repentance and to new life in Christ, and that any plans to do evil would be stopped and brought to account.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior. We ask You to guard and strengthen this sister in Christ and make her a clear and loving voice for truth. We ask You to shine Your light on all that has been hidden, to expose every idol, and to bring it to nothing so that You alone are exalted. Bring conviction where there is sin, bring repentance where there is immorality, and bring justice where there has been danger and wrongdoing. Protect the one who has prayed to You, grant peace, safety, and patience, and help all involved to put You first and to seek Your will above all else. Thank you for trusting us with this heavy and painful burden. What you have described is serious, a dwelling that endangered your life, a sexual relationship outside of God's design, and threats against your life. It is right to bring these things into the light before the Lord in prayer.

We join you in praying for this sister who knows Jesus. The greatest joy is to hear that those who know the truth are walking in the truth, because the truth dwells in us and remains forever. Jesus said His words are truth, and heaven and earth will pass away but His words will not. We pray that God will strengthen her to continue walking in that truth and speaking it in love, with wisdom and courage. We pray that she will not be kept in the dark, but that what has been hidden will be made known, so she can speak clearly and faithfully to her brother. A life that walks in truth becomes a testimony that others cannot ignore, and we ask God to use her influence for good.

We also pray for her brother. Scripture teaches that God created man, not the other way around, and that every person is accountable to Him. When people hold the truth in unrighteousness, Scripture says the wrath of God is revealed against all ungodliness, yet God has also made a way for mercy and truth to meet together. They meet in Jesus Christ. At the cross, justice was satisfied because Jesus took the penalty we deserved, and mercy was extended because forgiveness is offered to all who repent and believe. There is no other way of salvation except through Jesus alone. We pray that this man will put God first, that every idol that competes for his heart will be exposed and destroyed, and that he will turn from anything that dishonors God and receive the mercy that is offered in Christ.

Concerning the sexual relationship you mentioned, we must be faithful to what the Bible teaches. God designed sex and living together to belong only within marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless a relationship outside of that design. Instead we pray that both persons involved will recognize this as sin, repent, and turn to live in purity and holiness before the Lord, fearing the Lord and departing from evil.

We also hear your concern about injustice and danger. There are times when it feels as though justice stands far off and truth has fallen in the street, and that those who try to depart from evil become a target. The Lord sees this and He is displeased when justice is lacking, for He is a God of righteousness and justice. He desires righteousness to prevail. We pray for your protection and for truth to be brought into the open concerning the condition of that apartment and concerning any evil intent to harm you. We pray that God will frustrate every plan to do violence, that He will bring justice according to His perfect wisdom, and that He will guard you as you seek Him.

We pray that both this brother and sister will seek wisdom as one seeks silver or hidden treasure, for a true search for wisdom leads to the knowledge of God and to the fear of the Lord. When we fear the Lord and depart from evil, we find life and health for the soul. May God give them a hunger for His Word, where knowledge and understanding come from His mouth, and may He lay up sound wisdom for those who walk uprightly.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this sister to You. Keep her strong in faith, fill her with grace and truth, and give her boldness to speak what is true in love. Do not let important matters be hidden from her, but reveal what needs to be known so she can be a faithful witness. We lift up her brother to You. Expose every idol in his heart, tear down what has taken Your place, and help him to put You first. Bring him to repentance for any sin, including sexual immorality, and to faith in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and new life. Lord, expose the danger that was in that dwelling and every evil plan against life. You see all things and You are just. Protect Your child, let truth come to light, and let righteousness and peace prevail. Teach all of us to fear You, to depart from evil, and to walk in Your truth.
