Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her, and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me, and about the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

Please also pray that they both put God first and that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes and destroys every idol

We join you in lifting up this situation before our Mighty and Powerful God, and we thank Him that the former landlord's sister has faith in Jesus and desires to be a light in a dark situation.

We pray that God will continue to speak through her and make her a faithful witness, for Jesus said you are the light of the world, a city located on a hill cannot be hidden, neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand and it shines to all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven Matthew 5:14-16. We ask that her godly influence would not be silenced or hidden, but that the Lord would give her boldness, wisdom and discernment to speak truth in love, and that her brother's heart would be softened to receive correction.

We also bring before the Lord the serious matters you have shared. To knowingly rent out a life-threatening apartment and to keep truth hidden is evil, and Scripture says do not have fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them Ephesians 5:11, and there is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account Hebrews 4:13. We pray that nothing will remain in the dark, that God will expose every deception and bring the truth into the light, and that justice will be done according to His righteousness. If there has been an attempt on your life, we pray for your protection and deliverance, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. We encourage you to also seek protection and help through the proper authorities where needed, for God has established authorities to restrain evil, and we pray that the Lord will guard you from all harm and give you peace.

We must also address the sexual relationship you mentioned between the former landlord and this woman. If this was outside of marriage, Scripture is clear that this is fornication, and if either was married it is adultery, and both are sin before God. Flee sexual immorality, every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray that both would be convicted of this sin, repent and turn from it, and pursue purity and holiness. For any scheme to hire others to harm you, we rebuke that murderous intent, for you shall not murder Exodus 20:13 and vengeance belongs to the Lord Romans 12:19. We pray that God would expose and thwart every evil plan and bring those involved to repentance and accountability.

We join you in praying that both the former landlord and his sister will put God first in all things, for Jesus taught seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33, and you shall have no other gods before me Exodus 20:3. We pray that our Mighty God will expose and destroy every idol that has taken His rightful place in their hearts, whether it be money, power, lust, or self, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together. We thank You for the sister who knows You and we ask You to anoint her words and life to draw her brother to truth and repentance. Lift the veil of darkness and let no hidden thing remain concealed. Protect Your child who was placed in danger, vindicate and provide a safe dwelling, and let Your justice and mercy prevail. Convict of sexual immorality and of any plot to do harm, bring deep repentance and cleansing through the blood of Jesus, and tear down every idol that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Help them both to put You first and to walk in obedience. We trust that You are working all things for good for those who love You Romans 8:28, and we ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and access to the Father, amen.

We have heard your burden and we bring it before the throne of grace with you, asking the Lord to hear according to His mercy and sovereign will.

We thank God for the sister who has faith in Jesus Christ, for it is by Him alone that we are saved and brought into the family of God. We pray that the Lord will perfect that which concerneth her, that He will sustain her by His everlasting mercy and continue to speak through her with truth and love. May her life be a clear testimony of Divine Grace, and may her influence be used by the Holy Spirit to call her brother to repentance and to faith, that he may put God first in all things.

Concerning your former landlord and the grievous matters you have suffered in that apartment, we pray that the Lord, who sees all things in secret, will bring what is hidden into the light. We ask that no truth necessary for protection and justice be kept in darkness, and that the Lord who is our refuge will guard you from all harm. We pray that He who subjects even evil to His own eternal purpose will cause righteousness to prevail, and that every idol, whether of greed or lust or self will, will be exposed and destroyed by His mighty hand. For He alone is worthy of the first place in every heart.

We also pray regarding the immoral relationship you have mentioned. We do not ask God to bless what His Word calls sin, for sexual intimacy belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Rather we pray that both souls involved would be brought under conviction, that they would see their sin as against God alone, and that they would turn from it to find forgiveness through the blood of Christ. Evil as we are, Christ is able to wash and cleanse, and we pray that He would grant repentance and newness of life.

In the face of wrong endured, we exhort you to the Divine method of overcoming evil with good. To return evil for evil is natural and easy, but may Divine Grace give you the victory to overcome evil with good, leaving vengeance to the Lord who judges righteously. He does no wrong, and though we cannot answer why He permits sorrow and physical evil, we know that He is present in all things and that He will be justified when He speaks and clear when He judges.

So we pray: O Lord, perfect that which concerneth Thy servants. Let Thy mercy sustain the sister in her witness. Let Thy truth shine upon this house and upon every hidden deed. Let idols fall and let Christ be enthroned. Keep Thy child under the shadow of Thy wings, give peace to a troubled heart, and cause even this trial to work for Thy glory and the good of those who love Thee. We have heard your burden and we join you with prayer before God who sees all things naked and laid open, before whom nothing can remain hidden.

We pray for the sister of your former landlord who has faith in Jesus. We thank God for her faith and ask that He strengthen her, keep her rooted in His Word, and continue to speak through her with wisdom and courage. We ask that her influence be for good, that she would walk in truth and love, and that she would not be kept in the dark about what has happened, but would know what is needed to act rightly and to speak what is true in love.

We pray also for your former landlord and for the woman you mentioned. We do not ask God to bless any relationship outside His design, for He has given marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He calls His people to keep sex and living together within that covenant and to be pure in heart. Where there has been sexual immorality, we pray that God would bring conviction, that both would turn from sin and seek a clean heart, for from the heart proceed evil thoughts and fornications and all defilement that is not washed by water alone but needs repentance and tears. We pray that they would put God first, seeking Him above all else, and that they would find forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved.

We pray that every idol would be exposed and destroyed. Scripture teaches that covetousness is idolatry, an insatiable appetite that man invents for himself, even more shameful than the worship of images, and it brings great harm when gain is loved more than righteousness and mercy. If greed or love of money or any other idol has led to renting a life threatening apartment or to neglecting the good of a neighbor, we pray that God would reveal it, bring it to light, and grant repentance. God is long suffering and kind, not so that we may continue in sin, but so that we may be drawn to repentance, and His judgment will surely come for those who despise His patience.

We pray for the truth to be made known about the apartment and about the harm you have suffered, and for your protection. You have spoken of attempts on your life, and that is a grave matter. We ask the Lord to be your refuge and guard, to expose every hidden thing of shame, to bring justice where wrong has been done, and to restrain all evil intent. We encourage you to seek lawful help and protection as needed, and to entrust vengeance to God, who judges righteously. Take care also with your own words, for we are told that we will give account for what we speak, even when we believe it to be true. Bring what you know to God in prayer, speak the truth without hatred or slander, and leave judgment in His hands.

We pray that no one would fall into despair, for to sin wounds us, but to despair prevents the healing. Even one who has fallen into the depth of wickedness can be set free if he will lay hold on repentance, for repentance has great force and Christ can be formed in us again. The Church is a hospital and a school for the soul, where we hear the divine words, receive help through prayers and the Spirit, and learn the way that leads to heaven.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ alone. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and wash our hearts from wickedness. We ask You to strengthen this sister in faith, give her boldness to speak truth in love, and use her witness to call her brother to repentance. Expose what is hidden, bring to light what has been done in darkness, protect the one who has been harmed, and establish justice and safety. Convict of all sexual immorality and all idolatry, especially covetousness, and grant true repentance and purity. Destroy every idol and teach all to put You first, to seek Your kingdom and to walk in holiness. Grant that those who have sinned may not despair but turn to You and find mercy, and that blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see You. Keep us all in Your long suffering mercy, and lead us to frequent hearing of Your Word and to faithful prayer, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Continue to come frequently to the hearing of the divine words and to prayer, trusting that God both sees and helps, and that He is able to cleanse, restore, and guard those who turn to Him.

We pray for your former landlord. We ask that God will draw him to put the Lord first, to fear the Lord and turn away from evil, and to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness above all else. Where anything has become an idol, whether money, property, relationships or self interest, we ask that God will expose it and remove its power. The final word of Scripture to God's children is to keep yourselves from idols, and we pray that both brother and sister will do this by turning fully to Christ.

We do not ask God to bless what is outside His design. God's Word teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that sexual intimacy belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Living together and sexual involvement outside of that covenant is sin. We pray not for blessing on that relationship but for conviction, repentance and cleansing. Mercy and truth meet together only in Jesus, who was wounded for our transgressions and who bore the judgment for sin so that by faith in Him we can be declared innocent and receive forgiveness. We pray that each person involved will confess Jesus as Lord, believe that God raised Him from the dead, and receive the eternal life that is found only in the Son.

We also pray about the apartment and the danger you have experienced. The Lord knows the truth about what was rented to you and about any harm intended against you. We ask Him to bring what has been kept in the dark into the light, to protect you from every snare and to be your refuge and shield. His truth is our protection against the attacks of the enemy, and He is able to cover His people as with wings and to give His angels charge over them. We pray that you will know His presence leading you on the path of life. Even when that path goes through the valley of the shadow of death, you need not fear evil, for He is with you, His hand leads you, and your days are appointed by Him. He is able to sustain life and to deliver from the power of evil.

We ask God to be your confidence and to keep your feet from being taken, and not to let fear take hold of your heart. He is your strength and your help. We pray that justice will be done in the right way, and we encourage you to seek protection and help through the proper authorities as well as through prayer, trusting that God will act for good for those who trust Him.
