Humble Prayer Warrior
Please don't be offended by my title. It's just that there is a family I'm tired of praying for. I was just reading something that said just when you want to give up praying for something is the time to ask God again. That kind of hit me in the stomach!
So I'm asking you to lift up the "S" family with me again in prayer. This family is kind of an enemy of my family at the moment. We used to be friends, but then hurt feelings and all kinds of drama happened between almost all of us and now I really think there's animosity between them and us. I don't feel active anger, but my husband has been stirring the pot by posting passive-aggressive Facebook comments directed at them. I'm concerned because one of the family members has started going to church, but the family seems to think God is more like their vengeful thug than a forgiving Father.
I want to (or am willing to) pray that this family be humbled to know the true meaning of Christ's work. I'd like to see our families be friends again, although I don't see that happening! It's mainly because my husband was childhood friends with one of the family members and it makes me sad to see them hate one another. But I also feel left out too. I know anything is possible with our Father, so I'm asking in obedience that he restore our friendship with them better than it was before, and may they see the truth and the lies/rumors for what they are. Also, may my husband and I be more softened and forgiving.
Thank you, friends!
IN Christ, Amen.
