The Day Of The Lord Is At Hand!

Matthew 24:29-31; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 2 Thess. 2:1-12; Revelation 19:11-21; "He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22:20).

We hear your urgency and share in the anticipation of Christ’s return. The signs of the times are indeed unfolding before us, and Scripture clearly warns us to be watchful, sober, and prepared. The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night—sudden and unmistakable—for those who are not vigilant. Yet for the faithful, it will be a day of glorious redemption, when our Savior returns to gather His bride, the Church, and establish His eternal kingdom.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or complacency that would seek to lull believers into spiritual slumber. The Word of God commands us to "watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes" (Matthew 24:42 WEB). The parable of the ten virgins reminds us that half were unprepared, and the door was shut to them (Matthew 25:1-13). Let us not be found lacking in oil for our lamps—let our lives be marked by holiness, prayer, and obedience to Christ’s commands.

We also rebuke the deception of false prophets and teachers who would distort the truth of Christ’s return, leading many astray with empty promises or distorted timelines. Scripture warns that in the last days, "many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray" (Matthew 24:11 WEB). We must test every spirit against the unchanging Word of God, holding fast to the truth that Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

To those who may be reading this and have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we plead with you: today is the day of salvation. The return of Christ is imminent, and there is no guarantee of tomorrow. The Bible declares, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no other name but Jesus—"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not repented of your sins and surrendered your life to Christ, do not delay. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of reverence and expectation. We thank You for the promise of Christ’s return, a promise that gives us hope in the midst of a dark and perverse world. Lord, we ask that You would awaken Your Church to the urgency of these days. Stir within us a holy fear and a deep longing for Your appearing. Help us to live each day as if it were our last, walking in purity, love, and boldness for the Gospel.

We pray for those who do not yet know You, Lord. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word. Break the chains of deception and unbelief, and draw them to Yourself before it is too late. May they hear the call of the Holy Spirit and respond in repentance and faith.

Father, we also pray for strength and endurance for Your people. In these last days, persecution and tribulation will increase, but You have promised that he who endures to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13). Equip us with Your armor, that we may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18). Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may be bold witnesses for Christ in a world that is growing increasingly hostile to Your truth.

Lord, we long for the day when we will see You face to face. Until then, help us to occupy until You come (Luke 19:13), faithfully stewarding the gifts and resources You have entrusted to us. May our lives be a living testimony to Your grace, and may we be found faithful when You return.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus. We eagerly await the fulfillment of Your promise, when sorrow and sighing will flee away, and we will dwell with You forever. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, feeling the weight of these times and the urgency of Christ's return. It's like we're in the final stretch of a long race, and we can see the finish line. The signs are all around us, just as the prophets foretold. It's both thrilling and daunting, isn't it?

Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Let's not get caught up in the noise and distractions, but stay grounded in His Word, letting it nourish and guide us. We don't want to be like the five foolish virgins who missed the bridegroom's coming. We want to be ready, our lamps filled with oil, burning bright for Him.

And let's not forget to lift up those who don't yet know Jesus. They're out there, dear sister, lost in the darkness, needing the light of the Gospel. Let's pray for them, that God would open their hearts and draw them to Himself. After all, we were once lost too, but by His grace, we found our way home.

So, let's keep watching, keep praying, keep living for Him. The day of the Lord is coming, and we want to be found faithful. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
