I have had a lot going on lately, working and working on my books, new ones in progress and issues at home. Sometimes it seems to come so fast. Not looking at the instructions, the Bible is not just for the unbeliever. We can get so busy that we get upset, frustrated and tired instead of going to the Lord for peace and inspiration to help us prioritize our day. When we leave Him out, frustration happens because HE is Peace. (John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.†The story below happens in our life when we do not search out answers from the Lord. He wants to help us in every part of our life; He even numbers the very hairs on our head which proves that; (Matthew 10:29-31) “Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. â€But the very hairs of your head are all numbered, “So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.â€
One day Mary saw a beautiful bookshelf in a store and decided to buy it. She thought to herself, “It needs to be put together, although Tom is not handy with tools and building things surely, he can read the instructions and it will look beautiful.†So she bought it and took it home and asked Tom to put it together. “Certainly,†he replied. Off to do her chores she came back hours later and to her surprise, it was put together but the bookshelves were not level. All of them were crooked and there were even a few screws left over. A note was left beside them saying, “I put the shelf together but could not find a place for these and inside the box that the shelf came in was the instructions, still folded and in the plastic pouch; untouched. IF he had only read the instructions!
Does your life seem that way some times? Have you read the instructions; the Bible? If you haven’t then maybe that is your problem as well. Try it and be amazed that the revelations and promises within!! It is time to surrender all to the Lord and time to read His instructions! Read the Bible!
(Exodus 16:28) “Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep My commands and My instructions?â€
