We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the deep bondage that pornography, drugs, greed, and hatred have brought into your family. These are not merely struggles—they are spiritual strongholds that seek to destroy lives, marriages, and generations. We stand in the authority of Jesus Christ, whose name alone breaks every chain, and we declare that no curse, no spell, and no scheme of the enemy will prevail against those who are covered by His blood.
The Word of God is clear: *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). Pornography is a thief—it steals purity, distorts God’s design for intimacy, and defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit. Drugs are a snare, clouding the mind and enslaving the will to substances rather than the Spirit of God. Greed and blame-shifting are tools of the enemy to divide families, turning hearts away from repentance and toward destruction. But we serve a God who is greater than all of these. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus. We break every generational curse that has sought to pass down these sins from one generation to the next. The blood of Jesus has already paid the price for freedom—*"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed"* (1 Peter 2:24 WEB). There is no curse that His blood cannot cover, no stronghold that His power cannot demolish. We declare that the mountains of addiction, shame, and division will be cast into the sea, and every door that the enemy has shut will be flung open by the hand of God.
But freedom requires repentance. If there has been sin—whether it is the lust of the eyes, the bondage of substance abuse, the love of money, or the refusal to take responsibility—it must be confessed and turned away from. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). Blaming others will not bring healing; only humility before God and one another will. We pray that hearts would soften, that pride would crumble, and that each member of this family would fall on their knees before the Lord, seeking His mercy and grace.
We also lift up the marriages and relationships within this family. If there has been infidelity, emotional or physical, it must be addressed with godly sorrow and repentance. The marriage covenant is sacred, and God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), but He also hates the sin that seeks to destroy it. If there are those who have been unfaithful, whether through pornography or other forms of betrayal, we pray for true repentance and restoration. If there are those who have been hurt, we pray for healing and the strength to forgive as Christ has forgiven.
We pray for the children in this family, that they would not be scarred by the sins of their parents but would instead see the power of God at work. May they grow up knowing the love of their Heavenly Father, who is their true protector and provider. *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We declare that this family will not be defined by its past but by the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the name that is above every name. We plead the blood of Jesus over this family, over their minds, their bodies, their marriages, and their future. We break every curse, every spell, and every assignment of the enemy against them. We declare that they are no longer slaves to sin but have been set free by the Son of God. We ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that should not be opened. Move the mountains of addiction, shame, and division in their lives, Lord. Let Your light shine into the darkest places of their hearts, and let Your healing flow like a river.
We pray for a spirit of unity and love to bind this family together. May they encourage one another, bear each other’s burdens, and walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them. We pray for godly accountability, for mentors and believers to come alongside them and speak truth in love. May they not be isolated in their struggles but surrounded by a community of faith that will uphold them in prayer and support.
Lord, we ask that You would restore what has been lost. Restore purity, restore trust, restore joy, and restore hope. Let this family be a testimony to Your power and Your grace, that others may see and know that You are the God who saves. We declare that the enemy’s plans will not succeed, for *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4 WEB). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for Your mercy, and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
