The answers that we desire

The answers that we desire when we pray do not hinge so much on God faithfulness to us, as on our faithfulness to him. So we ask God help us to see that whatsoever we ask in Jesus name means whatsoever we ask in accordance with his will, for when Jesus was here in person, He said that he only did what the Father directed. So I ask God to help us to sincerely repent of any wrong doing before we come to him with our needs, and then wait on God’s time.

This was very helpful and I thank you, however what happens when we fall short of the requirement?

The Jewish listeners of Jesus' day asked the same thing -- "What shall we do to be working the works of God" (John 6:28).

28Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” 29Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the One He has sent.”…

The requirement is perfection which only Christ could attain in our place... That's why we use His name -- we would always fall short of the glory of God even in prayer... Use His name and accomplishments -- use the righteousness of Christ : )

You may want to go back and read what I originally posting; and think about it for moment! Read what you said, and then read my posting in explaining the verse you stated. It may help!! Also you want to realize that the whole New Testament is not in red.

Go back and read each verse that you stated, and then read the paragraph before it and then the paragraph after it and maybe that will clear your picture up on your one-liners.

Knowing God's word, studying it and understand what it means, you will receive many blessings. People are told one liners and given a blank check that you can ask for anything you want, and you’ll get it. Blessing are by asking, seeking (searching for the Kingdom) and knocking.

One liners are one of reason why a lot of people levels Christianity today. They have been told all they have to do is to ask in Jesus name, and they get everything they want. They have no true faith, no real understanding of who Christ is. Why he came. They come to Christ out of fear of the unknown. When their fear levels they level.

Each verse you reference are very important and have very key points that are very valid, but there is more to them then that one line; and when we learn more of the word of God, and start to understand it. Then that check is not blank, but full of Grace, Mercy, and blessing.

It is not our faithfulness to God. It is God's Faithfulness to His Son's Inheritance, the Bride of Christ... This is from your posting. The following is my first line

The answers that we desire when we pray do not hinge so much on God faithfulness to us, as on our faithfulness to him. (him being Jesus, his son, and with that comes his son Inheritance)

Go back and read my originally posting just think about for a few moments, and with that I say to you.

May the peace of God, keep your heart, and mind in the knowledge and love of God, and his son Jesus Christ. May the blessing of God Almighty: the Father, the son, and the Holy Ghost, be amongst you, and remain with you always. Amen

Ah... I think I see where we differ... I believe "All Scripture is inspired by God" (2 Tim 3:16). John's comments, Matthew and Luke's narration, Paul's Epistles, every alpha, omega, aleph, and vaw of all 66 books. In that sense, all Scripture is Red -- "The sum of Your Word is Truth" (Ps 119:160).

Just saying the reason we as believers get our prayers answered is Jesus' Name, blood, adoption and righteousness, not our faithfulness. "Covenantal righteousness" has it's place and is the goal of our adoption, "we are predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son" (Rom 8:29), but "it is good to take hold of one thing and not let go of another" Ecc 7:18 says -- "He who is wise comes forth with both." (Our faithfulness and the source of that, God's faithfulness -- which happens to be the fruit of the Holy Spirit" (Gal 5:22-23).

Intercessor:

We both are on the same page but seeing it from a different view point. (That's why we have so many denominations of Christianity), but I too believe that all the scripture are inspired by God. But I feel that the words in red are the words of Jesus Christ, God incarnated.

I believers our prayers get answers, because of our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior it is through Christ we are made righteous, and through his blood. It is by faith alone that we are sanctified and not by any works that we do.

When we teach a person theology - (the study of religious faith, practice, and experience; especially: the study of God and of God's relation to the world) you get them a foundation built on stone. If we give them religion (a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices) their foundation is built on sand. When the flood comes or they go through bad times or for another religion threatens to kill them or their families, if we teach them the word of God and they understand what the word of God means, they will withstand the flood, bad times and the threat against them.

We are both saying the same thing I may be going just a little deeper because when I leave them they have to be able to standing on a firm foundation.

Intercessor, I love, and I thank God for you. I ask God to bless you. You keep on.. we are on the same page just a different view.

Amen brother. Perfectly said. We are to seek His Will above ours. Jesus Himself, set that example as you said. God bless you brother.
