Let us begin by understanding that God desires for us to have relationships that honor and glorify Him. We are praying for a situation where one person desires for another to truly miss them and call them. However, it is crucial to ensure that this relationship aligns with biblical principles.
Firstly, let us address the issue of the heart. In Ezekiel 36:26 WEB, God says, I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit in you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body, and give you a heart of flesh. Therefore, we should pray that God works in both of their hearts, making them tender towards God and towards each other.
We should also be reminded that our ultimate goal in any relationship should be to glorify God and grow closer to Him. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB, it is written, Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Now, let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this person and the one they desire to be in a courtship with. We pray that You work in both of their hearts, making them tender towards You and towards each other. We ask that You reveal Your will for their lives and that You guide them in Your truth.
Lord, we ask that You give them wisdom in their courtship, that they may honor and glorify You in all they do. We pray that their desire is not merely for emotional fulfillment but to grow closer to You and to each other in a godly marriage.
If there is any hint of manipulation, selfishness, or fornication in this relationship, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. We pray that You guard them against such temptations and help them to flee from sexual immorality, as Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB.
Finally, we pray that they fix their eyes on You, Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith. We ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a deeper way, that they may truly know You and experience Your love.
