*NOTICE one example of how ushistory.org (and any modern "revisionist history" mostly public, secular education system) REWRITES HISTORY in their following summary of Thanksgiving:
"The Plymouth Pilgrims simply celebrated survival, as well as the hopes of good fortune in the years that lay ahead." http://www.ushistory.org/us/3b.asp (very bottom of page is summary or conclusion of all that is before and meant to "stick" in one's brain).
THIS IS A LIE... IT IS FALSE TEACHING...
FUNNY, LOOK AT THE PROCLAMATION of WILLIAM BRADFORD, BELOW: The Pilgrims were clearly thankful to the "Great Father" for specific blessings, for His specific protections, and were not "celebrating survival." The Pilgrims mention nothing about "hope of good fortune in the years that lie ahead" during Thanksgiving, but were giving thanks for the "freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience." It was a day where they were to listen to the preaching of their pastor! I just thought I would point that out the actual Legal Proclamation from Governor Bradford, above, to show how they labor to reduce our "Great Father," "Almighty God" from our history. Take a screenshot and print it out! It might not be able to be found online in years to come... Show it to your children for they are being brainwashed with this "revisionist history" specifically since the 1990s... Selah...
Governor William Bradford's First Thanksgiving Proclamation
"Inasmuch as the Great Father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat, peas, beans, squashes, and garden vegetables, and has made the forests to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inasmuch as He has protected us from the ravages of the savages, has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience.
Now I, your magistrate, do proclaim that all ye Pilgrims, with your wives and ye little ones, do gather at ye meeting house, on ye hill, between the hours of 9 and 12 in the daytime, on Thursday, November 29th, of the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and twenty three and the third year since ye Pilgrims landed on ye Pilgrim Rock, there to listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings."

The rest of the synopsis from ushistory.org is relatively accurate, though it by no means expresses the favor God had given them with the natives or how God had gone before them in preparing the land for their arrival. It will suffice for a general history, however, pray for me as I will one day put down the Pilgrims own view of the hand of God in the years prior to and during their first landing in the Plymouth area in the future... Just be aware God is permeating their minds and outlook... You can find a little of that, here -- GO READ THE REAL HISTORY OF THE PILGRIMS FOR 2-3 MINUTES, PLEASE... http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2017...kids-in-school-the-real-story-of-the-pilgrims
NOTICE CURRENT HISTORY'S ENDEAVOR TO DO WHAT PSALM 2 IS WARNING AGAINST!! Show this to your children! They have been taught for the last thirty (30) years or more that Thanksgiving has always been a Man-centered Celebration of Survival (sound evolutionary, survival of the fittest)? They are secondarily taught that it is a supplication to "fortune" -- a Greek God, fortunas, and thus it continues throughout the country to this day unless we speak up and GIVE THANKSGIVING to GOD around the TABLE and PREACH THE WORD as was intended to build up the Pilgrims which was the church at that point which was the country!!!
REAL SUMMARY: The original "Thanksgiving" was an official Proclamation by Governor Bradford acknowledging the "Great Father," that had given abundant provision, abundance, protection and for "freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience." It directly references God as the "Great Father," "God" and "Almighty God."
