Dear Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for everything you have done. It has been almost a year since I came back to church and came to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. I know I go through the same hard times that any human goes through, but your grace and love are what keep me going. I can't give up. Lord, if I hadn't accepted you, I probably would be so lost and deceived that I may have never come to know you, and I probably would be in jail or doing terrible abominable things. But Lord, this request or prayer or whatever it is, is just to say thanks for everything. Here's a list, Lord, of the stuff I am thankful for.
1. You, Lord, and your grace and what you did 2000 years ago on that Cross. Lord, I thank you so much; this has to be the first thing I have to thank you for, Lord, because if you hadn't come down to save us all of mankind would perish in their sins. Lord, I just thank you for your love and setting me free, and though many take your grace for granite, Lord, I am trying not to do that. We all make mistakes; I just pray that more sheep come home this year and the year to come.
2. My family. Lord, I thank you for my family, Lord, and all they do. I know we have our bad times, but we still love each other. I thank you for my loving, caring family that you so blessed me with, my mom who does a lot more for me than I deserve, and my brother. Lord, my family is great, though at times we have fights and family issues, I know you are there waiting to help us all. I just pray that they all come to the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.
3. My church, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for my church family, Lord, that loves everyone equally and that all are welcome here. I thank you for Pastor ### and our youth pastor ###. I thank you for blessing us with such wonderful people, Lord, and blessing the awesome worship team and prayer team and visiting us on Sundays.
4. My job and your blessings. Lord, I thank you for all your blessings, including my job that you have bestowed upon me. Lord, I have to be honest; that whole year and time I was unemployed. I never really put the effort in and was lazy about it and discouraged and thought I never get hired or make it or find a job that is good for me. I really let the enemy walk all over me with discouragement and doubt and laziness. For that, I am sorry. But Lord, I thank you now that I have a job and it's great, and everything about it is awesome. Food may not be the healthiest choice, I still enjoy it, and pray for more hours, Lord.
5. Place to call home and food on the table. Lord, I thank you that I am blessed to have a place to call home and that you supply us with food and drink, and I have a place to sleep. Lord, I also pray that tonight's food be blessed because I probably won't get a chance to say grace tonight, Lord, so I'm thanking you now and praying that you will bless this food to everyone's body and soul and that it all digest properly in Jesus' name.
6. This site and my online family. Lord, I am thankful for this site and my online family. I thank you that almost a year ago I came across this site, and I'm glad I did because it really helped me on my journey, and if I hadn't stumbled across it, I probably wouldn't know or learn much about you as much as I do here.
7. The Holy Spirit and your word. I thank you for these gifts you bless people with, Lord. I just pray you fill me to overflowing and lead and guide and direct me with your Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. Amen.
