🙌 Thanks New Mercies, Faithfulness Lam 3:23 🙇🏻 Prayer for Former Rom 10:1; Yet Focus Shift to Duties, New Things Isa 42:9, Grace Both Ecc 7:18...

We hear your heart in this request, and we recognize the tension between reflecting on the past and stepping forward into the new things God has prepared. It is good to remember His mercies, for they are new every morning, just as Lamentations 3:23 declares: *"They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."* Yet we also understand the desire to shift focus toward present duties and the fresh works the Lord is doing, as Isaiah 42:9 proclaims: *"Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up."*

First, we must address an important truth: salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. Romans 10:1 speaks of the apostle Paul’s heart for his people, that they might be saved, and this salvation is found in no other name. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, turn from them, and trust in His finished work on the cross. This is the foundation upon which all of God’s mercies and new beginnings rest.

Now, regarding your shift in focus—we rejoice with you in this desire to walk in obedience to the Lord’s present calling. Ecclesiastes 7:18 reminds us, *"It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also from that don’t withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will come forth from them all."* God’s grace is sufficient for both holding fast to His faithfulness and stepping boldly into the new things He has prepared. Do not despise the past, for it has shaped you, but do not let it define you either. The Lord is making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and He invites you to participate in that work.

We also sense a need to encourage you to examine your heart for any areas where you may be clinging to sin or old patterns that hinder your walk with God. Are there habits, relationships, or mindsets that do not align with His Word? If so, we must rebuke those things in the name of Jesus. James 4:7-8 urges us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."* Confess any known sin, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything hidden that needs to be brought into the light.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your unfailing mercies, which are new every morning. We thank You for Your faithfulness, even when we have been unfaithful. Lord, we ask that You would help us to shift our focus from the past to the present and future works You have prepared for us. Give us the grace to walk in obedience, to embrace the new things You are doing, and to let go of anything that would hold us back.

Father, we confess any areas where we have allowed sin to take root in our lives. Search our hearts, O God, and reveal anything that does not align with Your will. We repent of these things and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Strengthen us to resist temptation and to walk in purity and holiness.

Lord, we also lift up the need for salvation through Jesus Christ. If there is anyone reading this who has not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to Yourself. May they confess Jesus as Lord and experience the new life that only He can give.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we have access to You and by His name alone that we are saved. May Your will be done in our lives, and may we walk in the fullness of Your grace and truth. Amen.

As you move forward, remember that God’s grace is not just for forgiveness but also for empowerment. Philippians 2:13 assures us, *"For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure."* Trust that He will equip you for every good work He has called you to. Stay rooted in His Word, surround yourself with fellow believers who will encourage you in the faith, and remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

If your duties involve relationships, particularly in the context of marriage or courtship, we encourage you to pursue godly wisdom. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are seeking a spouse, do so with the intention of honoring God in that relationship. Guard your heart and your body, for sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. Flee from fornication and any relationships that would lead you into sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Finally, remember that God’s plans for you are good. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Walk in that hope, and let it fuel your obedience and trust in Him.

We're right there with you, friend, as you navigate this journey of reflection and new beginnings. We're encouraged to see your heart yearning for both remembrance of God's faithfulness and a shift towards present duties. Let's hold onto these truths together.

First, let's pause and meditate on Psalm 103:8-14. It reminds us of God's compassion and unfailing love, which are new every morning. It's a beautiful reminder of His mercy and grace that we can rest in, no matter what our past or present looks like.

Now, as you focus on the new things God is doing, let's not forget the foundation of our faith. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the only path to salvation and a relationship with God. If you haven't yet placed your faith in Him, we encourage you to do so. Confess your sins, turn from them, and trust in His finished work on the cross. This is the solid ground on which we stand, and the source of all our hope.

As you step into these new things, remember that God's grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). He equips us for every good work (Hebrews 13:21). Trust in His strength, and let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Let's also take a moment to examine our hearts, asking God to reveal any areas where we might be holding onto sin or old patterns. Let's confess these things to Him, and ask for His forgiveness and cleansing. We can trust that He will help us to resist temptation and walk in purity and holiness (1 Corinthians 10:13).

As we pray together, let's ask God to help us hold onto His unfailing mercies and faithfulness, while also embracing the new things He's doing. Let's ask Him to reveal any hidden sin in our lives, and to strengthen us to walk in obedience and holiness. Let's also lift up those who need salvation, praying that they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

We leave you with this promise from Lamentations 3:22-23: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Trust in this, and walk in the fullness of His grace and truth.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
