Prayers request to help me study. I have a fixation on the holy Bible, prayer books, and church song books. I would like to study my mathematics and grammar. I feel like I'm chasing comfort, such as warmth and comfortable hobbies, such as anime. After my medication increase, I had stopped going for early morning cold showers that would help me wake up. I have thoughts about acquiring a college degree, but I haven't been able to get into the study of grammar and mathematics. I am dissuaded by the many pages that have to be read. I don't want to be a fool. Jesus Christ, please help me. I have to complete exercise and study in order to make use of my time. I'm on the second day of fasting again, and I just want to relax. Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s wisdom and strength for the journey ahead. Your love for the Word of God and your desire to grow in discipline and knowledge are beautiful reflections of a heart that longs to honor Him. Yet, we also recognize the struggle you face—the tension between comfort and responsibility, between the warmth of familiar spiritual habits and the challenge of stepping into new areas of growth.

First, we want to affirm your dependence on Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we find true strength, peace, and direction. As Scripture reminds us, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13). Your acknowledgment of Him in this request is a powerful testament to your faith, and we rejoice in that. However, we must also gently challenge the areas where the flesh may be pulling you away from God’s best for you.

Your fixation on spiritual comforts—while beautiful in their own right—can become a stumbling block if they replace the discipline and stewardship God calls you to in other areas of life. The Bible warns us, *"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love is not in him"* (1 John 2:15). This does not mean we reject all earthly pursuits, but we must examine whether our hobbies, habits, or even spiritual practices are becoming idols that distract us from God’s broader purposes. Anime, while not inherently sinful, can become a snare if it consumes time that should be devoted to growth in wisdom, knowledge, and self-discipline. We encourage you to prayerfully evaluate whether this hobby is edifying your spirit or merely providing an escape from the work God has called you to.

Your struggle with discipline—particularly in returning to cold showers, exercise, and study—is a battle many of us face. The apostle Paul wrote, *"I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified"* (1 Corinthians 9:27). Discipline is not about legalism; it is about stewardship. God has given you a mind, a body, and time, and He calls you to use them wisely. The resistance you feel toward studying mathematics and grammar is not just about the difficulty of the material—it is a spiritual battle. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to remain stagnant, discouraged, and distracted. But we serve a God who equips us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17).

We must also address the role of medication in your life. While we are not medical professionals, we know that God can use medicine as a tool for healing and balance. However, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in whether this increase has dulled your spiritual alertness or discipline. Pray for discernment, and if necessary, consult with godly counsel to ensure that your physical and mental health are being stewarded in a way that aligns with God’s purposes.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the heart of this brother, who seeks to honor You in all things. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen him in his study of mathematics and grammar. Break the spirit of procrastination and discouragement that has taken hold of him. Give him a hunger for knowledge and wisdom, not for his own glory, but for Yours. Help him to see these subjects as tools to serve You and others more effectively.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of slothfulness and comfort-seeking that has crept into his life. We declare that he is not a slave to his flesh but a warrior for Your kingdom. Renew his mind, Lord, and help him to prioritize what is eternal over what is temporary. Give him the discipline to return to his cold showers, to exercise his body, and to steward his time wisely. May he find joy not in escape but in the work You have set before him.

We ask that You would grant him clarity and focus as he studies. Help him to break down the overwhelming tasks into manageable steps, trusting that You will give him the strength for each one. Lord, we also pray for his fasting. May this time draw him closer to You, deepening his dependence on Your Spirit. Guard his heart against distraction and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we also lift up his desire for a college degree. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for him, providing the resources, mentors, and perseverance he needs to succeed. May his education be a testimony to Your faithfulness and a means of advancing Your kingdom.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would protect him from the lies of the enemy. Remind him daily that he is Your beloved child, called and equipped for a purpose. May he walk in the confidence of Your love and the power of Your Spirit.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Brother, we want to leave you with this encouragement: *"Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established"* (Proverbs 16:3). You are not alone in this struggle. The same God who called you to love His Word is calling you to grow in wisdom and discipline. Start small—set aside just 15 minutes a day to study grammar or mathematics. Pray before you begin, asking the Holy Spirit to help you focus. Replace the time you spend on less edifying hobbies with time in God’s Word *and* in your studies. Remember, *"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding"* (Proverbs 9:10). Your pursuit of knowledge is a holy endeavor when done for His glory.

You are not a fool—you are a child of God with a purpose. Keep pressing into Him, and He will direct your steps. We are standing with you, believing for breakthrough and growth in every area of your life.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough, isn't it? The struggle between comfort and responsibility, between the warmth of familiar habits and the challenge of growth. But remember, God's got you, and He's cheering you on every step of the way.

We love your heart for the Bible and prayer books, and we're excited to see you stepping out into new areas of study. Math and grammar, huh? Those can be a beast, but we know you can do this! You're not alone in this. We're here, and so is the Holy Spirit, ready to strengthen and guide you.

Now, about those cold showers... We get it, they're not the most inviting thing first thing in the morning. But think about it this way: it's like a little battle cry to start your day. A challenge to yourself to push through discomfort and come out stronger on the other side. And hey, it's not forever. Just until you find your rhythm again.

As for anime, it's okay to enjoy it, but let's make sure it's not taking over your life. Remember, everything in moderation, right? Let's make sure our hobbies are edifying our spirits and not just providing an escape from the work God has called us to.

We're praying for you, brother. That God would give you strength, discipline, and a hunger for knowledge. That He would renew your mind and help you prioritize what's eternal over what's temporary. And that He would fill you with His peace, even in the midst of study and fasting.

Keep pressing in, friend. You're not a fool; you're a child of God with a purpose. Keep taking those small steps, and before you know it, you'll be looking back at how far you've come. We're believing for breakthrough and growth in every area of your life. You got this! In Jesus' name, amen.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.
