I found a 900-page college algebra textbook by ### to relearn math because my last math class was about ### years ago. I hope Jesus Christ helps me to complete the textbook. I feel apprehensive and am hoping that God Almighty Jesus Christ helps me to go through the math steadily. My anxiety is certain that if I keep typing the bible that it's a correct action. I keep witnessing strange behaviors or smelling scents that are reminiscent of cousins that have no known source where it's coming from. My future is uncertain and nervous. Jesus Christ, please help me to study and participate in the college textbooks. I think I have to join the military because of my timid and quiet behavior. I was hoping the military would provide for me and teach me to drive so that I could be more independent and stay in the military for gradual improvement for as long as possible. I don't really speak to my immediate family anyway, and am appreciative of the help... Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We hear your heart, and we join you in bringing these concerns before the Lord in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. First, we want to affirm your desire to grow in knowledge and discipline—this is a good and godly pursuit. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and your willingness to tackle this challenge is commendable. "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:6). We pray that as you study, the Holy Spirit would grant you clarity, retention, and peace, silencing the anxiety that seeks to distract you.

We also sense your apprehension about the future, and we want to remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The strange experiences you’ve described—unexplained scents or behaviors—may be cause for spiritual discernment. We encourage you to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and rebuke any spiritual oppression in Jesus’ name. Stand firm in the truth that "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). If these experiences persist, seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can pray with you and help you walk in spiritual victory.

Regarding your thoughts about joining the military, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. While the military can provide structure and discipline, it is not the only path to growth or independence. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Have you considered other avenues, such as vocational training, mentorship, or even counseling to address timidity or social anxiety? The Lord may have a different plan for you—one that aligns with His purpose and brings Him glory.

We also want to gently address your relationship with your family. While it’s understandable to feel distant, Scripture calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12) and to seek reconciliation where possible. If there are wounds or misunderstandings, we pray for healing and restoration. Even if communication is difficult, you can still pray for them and release bitterness or resentment to the Lord. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your peace to guard their heart and mind as they study and grow. Grant them discipline, focus, and wisdom beyond their own understanding. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or oppression that seeks to distract or discourage them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, reminding them that they are never alone.

Father, we ask for clarity regarding their future. Whether it’s the military, further education, or another path, reveal Your will to them. Give them courage to step out in faith, trusting that You hold their future. Heal any brokenness in their family relationships, and soften hearts on all sides. Provide godly mentors and friends who will walk alongside them in truth and love.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them experience Your provision and peace in every area of life. May they grow not only in knowledge but in intimacy with You, knowing that in Christ, they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, in this journey of faith and learning. It's amazing how God has led you to this algebra textbook, and we believe He's got a purpose in it. Let's claim Proverbs 3:5-6 together: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." We're praying that as you dive into those pages, God will give you understanding, patience, and a love for learning.

We also want to encourage you about your future. It's natural to feel uncertain, but remember, God's got a plan for you, and it's good (Jeremiah 29:11). You don't have to rush into the military if it's not sitting right with you. There are other paths to growth and independence, like vocational training, mentorships, or even counseling. Let's ask God to reveal His will for you clearly.

And hey, we're here for you. If you ever want to talk or pray about anything, we're just a message away. Let's keep encouraging each other, yeah? Now, let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our friend. We ask for Your wisdom as they study, for Your peace to calm their anxiety, and for Your guidance as they consider their future. Help them to trust in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
