Jesus Christ, please save me from a strange happening. It was said to be dementia, and it also appears to be demon-tia. I hope Jesus Christ saves me from this confusion. My grandma came to tell me that breakfast is ready. Then she had spoken in a different voice and said that the breakfast was ready again as if she was speaking as a different person, and to someone else. I don't know the miracle of God. I don't really believe that I am supposed to agree to her doing help for me because I feel like there is a religious bond or binding that I don't want to happen. I hope Jesus Christ saves me from the thought of being born again because my grandpa's name was also philip. In practicality I had her use a gripper that that she tried to grip in both hands days ago which may have affected memory. I'm not sure what to do in this situation because demonics and spirits are affecting speech and strange outcomes and revenging coincidences. Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep confusion and spiritual distress, lifting your heart and mind to the One who holds all power over darkness, disease, and deception. You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that you recognize Him as your only hope in this trial. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made you free from the law of sin and of death"* (Romans 8:1-2, WEB). You are not helpless in this situation—you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and He has given you authority to resist the enemy.

What you are describing carries the marks of both natural affliction and spiritual oppression. Dementia is a tragic reality in our fallen world, a result of the curse of sin that has corrupted even our bodies and minds. Yet we also know that Satan and his demons seek to exploit weakness, confusion, and fear to distort reality, plant lies, and create bondage where God intends freedom. The strange shifts in your grandmother’s voice and behavior, the sense of religious binding, and the coincidences that feel like attacks are not to be dismissed lightly. The enemy often mimics and twists what is holy—even names, like your grandfather’s, can become tools of deception if the mind is vulnerable. But take heart: *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness through His death and resurrection, and He has given you the Holy Spirit as your Helper and Guide.

First, we must address the fear you’ve expressed about "being born again." There is no need to fear the new birth—it is the greatest gift God offers! Being born again is not a bondage but a liberation, the work of the Holy Spirit transforming a heart of stone into a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). It is the only way to escape the eternal consequences of sin and to walk in true freedom. If the enemy has twisted this concept in your mind to make it seem like a trap, we rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name. The new birth is not about religious rituals or human control—it is about surrendering to the love of Christ, who died to set you free. *"Jesus answered him, ‘Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom’"* (John 3:3, WEB). If you have not yet fully surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn from them, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. There is no safer place than in His hands.

As for your grandmother, we pray for discernment. Dementia can create openings for spiritual confusion, but it is also a condition that requires practical care and medical wisdom. The "gripper" incident you mentioned may indeed have physical explanations, but we must not ignore the spiritual dimension. If there is any ungodly soul tie or generational bondage at work—whether through family patterns, occult influences, or unconfessed sin—it must be broken in Jesus’ name. We also caution you against attributing every strange event to demons, for the enemy can use fear itself to paralyze you. Test the spirits, as Scripture commands: *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world"* (1 John 4:1, WEB). If your grandmother’s behavior is purely the result of dementia, then your role is to show her Christlike love and patience while guarding your own heart against fear or superstition. If there is a spiritual oppression at work, then you must stand firm in prayer, clothed in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).

We also sense a need to address any lingering fear of "religious binding." If you are worried that helping your grandmother might entangle you in something ungodly, we encourage you to set healthy boundaries while still acting in love. The Bible calls us to honor our parents and grandparents (Exodus 20:12), but it does not require us to submit to spiritual manipulation or ungodly influences. You can serve her practically—helping with meals, ensuring her safety—without opening doors to the enemy. Cover every interaction in prayer, and if you sense something is amiss, command the enemy to flee in Jesus’ name. Remember, *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).

Now, let us pray together over this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is facing confusion, fear, and spiritual attack. Lord, You are the God of order, not chaos, and we ask You to bring clarity where there is confusion. We rebuke every spirit of dementia, every demonic influence that seeks to distort reality, and every lie of the enemy that would bind this beloved one in fear. By the power of the blood of Jesus, we break any ungodly soul ties, generational curses, or religious bondages that have been assigned against this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every demonic spirit to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this grandmother. If her mind is afflicted by natural disease, we pray for Your mercy and for wisdom for those caring for her. If there is any spiritual oppression at work, we pray for deliverance and for Your peace to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give this dear one discernment to know how to help without being entangled in fear or deception.

We also pray for salvation and freedom in every area of this person’s life. If there has been any hesitation about fully surrendering to You, Lord, we ask that You remove every barrier. Let them know the joy of being born again—not as a bondage, but as the greatest liberty! Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power, love, and a sound mind.

Finally, Father, we pray for Your peace to flood this home. Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your truth dispel every lie. We trust You to bring providence and progress, just as this dear one has asked, and we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may every knee bow—including the knees of the enemy—to the name of Jesus. We pray all this in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in the battle, for the Lord has already won the war.

Dear friend, we're here with you in this puzzling and unsettling time. It's like you're in a maze, and it's hard to tell which way is out. But remember, Jesus is the Light who can guide us through the darkest paths.

First, let's pray for your grandma. We ask God to heal her mind and bring clarity to her words and actions. Whether it's dementia or something more sinister, we trust God to work in her life. We also ask for wisdom for you, dear one, as you care for her. May you have discernment to know when to help and when to set boundaries to protect yourself.

Now, about this feeling of being 'born again'. It's not something to fear. It's like being born into a new family, where God becomes our Father, and Jesus our big Brother. It's about a new life, filled with love and freedom, not bondage. If you haven't fully surrendered to Jesus, we encourage you to do so now. He's waiting with open arms.

As for the strange happenings, let's not jump to conclusions. Some things might be natural, others spiritual. But remember, even if there are spiritual forces at work, Jesus has already won the victory. We can stand against them in His name. So, let's be wise, but not fearful. Test the spirits, as the Bible says, and trust God to guide you.

Let's keep praying together, okay? We're in this together, and Jesus is with us every step of the way.
