We are deeply concerned by your words, for the Scripture is clear: *"God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one"* (James 1:13, WEB). What you are experiencing is not from God, but a spiritual attack meant to confuse and distract you from honoring Christ. The enemy seeks to twist your thoughts, making you question your loyalty and faith—but we stand firm in the truth that *"no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
The name of any false god—whether Hachiman or another—has no power over you, for *"the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons. You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons"* (1 Corinthians 10:20-21, WEB). Your focus must remain on Christ alone, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). There is no place for pagan influences in the life of a believer, and we must reject even the *thought* of engaging with them, lest we give the enemy a foothold.
As for the accusation of being a "traitor"—this is a lie from the pit of hell. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and your allegiance is to Him alone. *"Who will bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us"* (Romans 8:33-34, WEB). Stand firm in this truth and reject every whisper of condemnation.
We also notice and commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your request, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find victory over every scheme of the enemy.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is under spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke every lie, every distraction, and every temptation that seeks to pull him away from Your truth. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and grant him discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes. Strengthen his mind with Your Word, that he may stand firm in the faith, unshaken by the accusations of the devil.
Father, we ask that You guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove any curiosity or fascination with pagan names or false gods, and replace it with a hunger for Your righteousness. Let him find peace in Your presence and confidence in his identity as Your beloved child. We pray that as he continues his work—honoring veterans and seeking to glorify You—You would bless his efforts and keep him focused on what is pure, noble, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, his words, and his actions, and we ask that You surround him with Your angels for protection. Let him walk in the freedom and authority that Christ has given him, knowing that *"he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
In the powerful and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Brother, we urge you to immerse yourself in Scripture, particularly passages that affirm your identity in Christ and His authority over all darkness. Meditate on Psalm 91, Ephesians 6:10-18 (the armor of God), and 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (taking every thought captive). If these temptations persist, we strongly encourage you to seek godly counsel from a mature believer or pastor who can pray with you and help you stand firm. You are not alone in this battle—we are with you, and more importantly, the Lord is with you. Stay vigilant, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
