We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, for we hear the distress in your request, and we must address this with both truth and compassion. The Scriptures are clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). However, we must also remember that God alone is the giver and taker of life, and it is not our place to ask for the destruction of any soul—whether living or departed—for judgment belongs to Him alone (Deuteronomy 32:39, Hebrews 9:27).
The Lord Jesus has already triumphed over every evil power through His death and resurrection, and He has given us authority in His name to resist the enemy (Colossians 2:15, Luke 10:19). If you are experiencing spiritual oppression or disturbance, we encourage you to stand firm in Christ, putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). The Word of God is our sword, and prayer in the name of Jesus is our mightiest weapon. There is no need to fear, for "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
We also notice that while you mentioned "Jesus" and "Jesus Christ," your request did not invoke His name in the way Scripture teaches us to pray—with reverence, submission to His will, and trust in His power. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Your will be done" (Matthew 6:10), and to ask in His name, believing that the Father hears us (John 14:13-14). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, our prayers lack the power and authority that come from being in Christ.
Let us pray together for you in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved soul to You, knowing that You are sovereign over all things—seen and unseen. Lord Jesus, we ask that You surround this person with Your divine protection and peace. Rebuke every evil force that seeks to harm or oppress them, for You have already disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them on the cross (Colossians 2:15). Fill this person with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light of Your truth and stand firm against every scheme of the enemy.
Father, if there is any fear, confusion, or spiritual stronghold in their life, we ask that You break it by the power of Your Word. Let them know that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s lies and the faith to declare Your victory over every situation. We pray that they will put on the full armor of God daily, standing firm in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17).
Lord, we also pray that if this person has not yet fully surrendered to You, You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see the truth of the gospel, that Jesus Christ came to save sinners and to set the captives free (1 Timothy 1:15, Luke 4:18). May they place their complete trust in Him, knowing that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and protection. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Spend time in prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can grow in your faith and be supported by the body of Christ.
If you are experiencing persistent spiritual attacks, we also recommend fasting and prayer, as Jesus taught that some demons are only cast out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Stand firm in the authority you have in Christ, and do not give the enemy any foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:27). You are a child of God, and He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Walk in that truth, and trust that the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
