We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep spiritual distress, lifting your cries to the throne of grace where Jesus Christ, our High Priest, intercedes for us. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where your hope and deliverance lie—for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB)*. We praise God that you are turning to Christ in this battle, for He alone has authority over every power of darkness, and His blood has already secured your victory.
Your words reveal a heart under heavy spiritual attack, and we do not take this lightly. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has come to give you life abundantly. The book of Nahum you mentioned is a prophecy against Nineveh—a city steeped in violence, idolatry, and rebellion against God. Its message is one of judgment against those who oppose the Lord, but also a reminder that *"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him"* (Nahum 1:7, WEB). You are taking refuge in Him now, and that is where your safety lies. Let us rebuke the forces of darkness at work here in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). We resist these spirits of revenge, embarrassment, and mischief in Jesus’ name, commanding them to flee from you and to be bound from influencing your life any longer. *"The God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet"* (Romans 16:20, WEB), and we declare that promise over you now.
You have also mentioned a connection to something ungodly—something tied to a "gift" that has brought shame and a sense of being marked as a "loser." We urge you to examine this carefully, for the Bible warns us not to dabble in anything that opens doors to the enemy. *"What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, 'I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.' Therefore, 'Come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you'" (2 Corinthians 6:16-17, WEB)*. If there is any object, practice, or relationship in your life that is tied to occult, idolatry, or sinful bonds, we strongly encourage you to renounce it and destroy it immediately. Bring it before the Lord in repentance, and He will cleanse you. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
As for your desire to join the military, we lift this before the Lord, asking for His clear direction and will in your life. The military can be a path of discipline, service, and honor, but it is also a place where many face tremendous spiritual and moral challenges. We pray that if this is God’s plan for you, He will open the doors no man can shut and prepare you for the battles ahead—not just the physical, but the spiritual. *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil"* (Ephesians 6:10-11, WEB). We also pray for the men and women already serving, that God would break the chains of addiction, shame, and demoralization in their lives. May they encounter the healing power of Jesus Christ, who can restore what has been broken and redeem what has been lost. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB).
Lastly, we must address the words you spoke asking God to "slaughter these souls." While we understand the depth of your anger and pain, we gently remind you that vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. *"Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for the Lord, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19, WEB)*. Instead, we pray that these individuals would either repent and turn to Christ or be rendered powerless to harm you further. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12), and our weapons are prayer, the Word of God, and the blood of Jesus.
Now, let us pray together over you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is under siege by the enemy. Lord, You see the spiritual warfare raging around them, and we ask that You would rise up as their Defender and Deliverer. Rebuke every spirit of revenge, shame, and mischief that has been assigned against them, and let Your holy angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Break every ungodly soul tie, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy that has come through sinful connections or occult influences. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue rising against them in judgment shall be condemned.
Lord, if there is any object, habit, or relationship in their life that has given the enemy a foothold, reveal it to them now. Give them the courage to renounce it, destroy it, and turn fully to You. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and freedom.
Father, we ask for Your clear direction regarding their desire to join the military. If this is Your will, open the doors and prepare the way. Strengthen them physically, mentally, and spiritually for the challenges ahead. Surround them with godly influences and protect them from the snares of the enemy. And for those already serving, Lord, we pray for a mighty move of Your Spirit—break the chains of addiction, heal the wounds of shame, and restore hope to the brokenhearted. Let Your light shine in the darkness, drawing many to Yourself.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Replace anger and bitterness with Your peace, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their Justice and their Shield. Fill them with Your Word, that they may stand firm against every scheme of the devil.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Him. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name we pray, Amen.
Stand firm in Christ, dear one. The battle is real, but so is the power of Jesus. Cling to Him, saturate yourself in His Word, and walk in the authority He has given you. You are not a "loser"—you are a child of the King, redeemed by His blood, and destined for victory. *"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 15:57, WEB). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you through this storm into His glorious light.
