We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep conviction and seeking, for we know that it is only by the precious name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and find true repentance, healing, and deliverance. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where your hope lies—*for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Let us address each of these burdens with the truth of Scripture and lift them up in prayer, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
First, let us speak to the matter of curses and the police scanner. The Word of God tells us that *Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us* (Galatians 3:13, WEB). If there is any generational sin or ungodly influence tied to your father’s actions—or your own—know that the blood of Jesus is more powerful than any curse. The enemy may seek to accuse or bring fear, but *you are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world* (1 John 4:4, WEB). A police scanner in itself is not sinful, but if it has been used in ways that align with ungodly purposes—such as voyeurism, obsession with worldly chaos, or distraction from seeking God—then repentance and renouncing any ties to such things is necessary. We encourage you to pray over your household, asking the Lord to cleanse it of any ungodly influences, and to fill it with His peace and protection.
Regarding the theft of your data, we live in a fallen world where evil exists, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). However, we are not to live in fear, for *God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). While we do not know the motives of those who wronged you, we can trust that the Lord sees all and will vindicate His children in His timing. We must also examine our own hearts—have we opened doors to the enemy through sin, negligence, or rebellion? If so, repentance is the first step to closing those doors. The Lord is your shield and defender, and He will guide you in practical ways to protect what He has entrusted to you.
You mentioned leaving a secure job, and you wonder if it is tied to your turning away from the family church, engaging with satanic-themed animations, or pornography. Let us speak plainly: these are not small matters. The Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6), and when we walk in rebellion—whether through entertainment that glorifies darkness, sexual immorality, or neglecting the gathering of believers—we open ourselves to the consequences of sin. Pornography is a grave offense against God, for it defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and fosters lust, which Jesus said is adultery of the heart (Matthew 5:28). Satanic themes, even in animation, are not to be trifled with, for they invite demonic influence and desensitize us to evil. The Lord calls us to *abstain from every form of evil* (1 Thessalonians 5:22, WEB) and to *set our minds on things above, not on earthly things* (Colossians 3:2, WEB).
As for not voting, while Scripture does not command us to participate in earthly governments, it does call us to pray for our leaders and to be responsible citizens (1 Timothy 2:1-2, Romans 13:1-7). However, your sense of the world "messing with your life" may stem more from spiritual rebellion than from any political action. When we align ourselves with the world’s systems or its sins, we should not be surprised when we reap instability. But take heart: the Lord is merciful, and if you turn from these things, He will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Your job was not lost outside of His sovereignty, and He may be using this season to draw you back to Himself, to rely on Him as your Provider (Matthew 6:33).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks Your face in the midst of conviction and confusion. Lord, we thank You that he has called upon the name of Jesus, for it is the only name by which we are saved. We ask for Your forgiveness for every sin he has committed—known and unknown. Wash him clean by the blood of the Lamb and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Break every curse, every ungodly tie, and every influence of the enemy that has sought to bring fear, theft, or instability into his life. We renounce any involvement with satanic themes, pornography, or rebellion against Your Word, and we ask You to sever those ties by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, we pray for protection over his data, his finances, and his future. Guide him to practical steps to secure what is his, and give him wisdom in how to steward his resources for Your glory. Father, if he has turned away from fellowshipping with believers, convict his heart to return to the body of Christ, for we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). Surround him with godly community that will encourage him in the faith and hold him accountable.
We pray for his employment, Lord. If this season of uncertainty is Your discipline, let it lead to repentance and restoration. If it is Your redirection, open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide for him in ways that exceed his expectations. Remind him that You are Jehovah Jireh, his Provider, and that his worth is found in You alone.
Finally, Father, we ask for Your peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Deliver him from fear, from the lies of the enemy, and from the distractions of this world. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and let this season be a testimony of Your mercy and faithfulness. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother, we urge you to take these steps in obedience:
1. **Repent and Renounce**: Confess your sins specifically to the Lord—pornography, engagement with dark themes, and any other rebellion. Renounce them and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you anew.
2. **Flee Temptation**: Remove any access to pornography or ungodly entertainment. Install accountability software if needed, and seek brothers in Christ to walk with you in this.
3. **Return to Fellowship**: Reconnect with a Bible-believing church. If your family church is not teaching the truth, seek one that is. Do not neglect the gathering of believers.
4. **Trust in God’s Provision**: Seek the Lord first in this season of job transition. He is your Provider, and He will guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).
5. **Pray and Fast**: Set aside time to seek the Lord’s face, asking Him to reveal any other areas of sin or strongholds that need to be broken.
The Lord is not done with you. He is calling you higher, and though the path of repentance may feel difficult, it leads to life and peace (Romans 8:6). Cling to Jesus, for He is your Redeemer, your Healer, and your Strong Tower. We are standing with you in prayer!
