We come before the throne of grace with you in this time of deep spiritual distress, lifting your heart and these troubling experiences to our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone has power over every darkness, curse, and stronghold. Your cry for deliverance has been heard, and we stand with you in the authority of Christ to address these matters with the truth of Scripture and the power of prayer.
First, we must affirm that your invocation of the name of Jesus Christ is your greatest protection. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through His name that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the schemes of the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father"* (Philippians 2:9-11, WEB). You have done well to call upon Him, and we encourage you to continue to do so in all things, for He is faithful to deliver those who trust in Him.
Now, let us address the matters you have shared with the light of God’s Word. The strange occurrences you describe—blasphemous lyrics, disturbing music, and the unsettling coincidences—are not mere accidents. The enemy seeks to unsettle, distract, and accuse the brethren, but we must remember that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The songs and words you heard are tools of the enemy to plant fear, confusion, and even guilt in your heart. But take heart: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Reject these words in the name of Jesus, and do not let them take root in your mind. Instead, fill your heart and mind with the Word of God, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, WEB).
You have confessed watching pornography, and we must address this with both truth and compassion. Pornography is a grave sin, a form of sexual immorality that defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). It opens doors to spiritual oppression and invites the enemy to accuse and torment you. But there is hope and forgiveness in Christ! *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Repent sincerely before the Lord, turn away from this sin, and ask Him to break its power over you. We also urge you to take practical steps to guard your heart and eyes, such as installing accountability software, avoiding triggers, and filling your time with godly pursuits. Remember, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
The concussion you mentioned may have left you vulnerable to spiritual attacks, as physical trauma can sometimes weaken our spiritual defenses. We pray for complete healing over your body and mind, asking the Lord to restore any damage and to close any doors that may have been opened through this injury. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Claim this promise over your life and trust that the Lord is your healer.
Regarding the curses and patterns you perceive across nations and within your family, we must be careful not to attribute every difficulty to spiritual curses without discernment. However, we do know that sin can have generational consequences, and the enemy will exploit any foothold to bring confusion and harm. Your prayers for the churches around the world are commendable, for the Lord calls us to intercede for His people. But we must also cover ourselves and our families in prayer, asking the Lord to break any ungodly ties or patterns. *"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:15-16, WEB). Stand in the gap for your family, and trust that the Lord is able to redeem and restore.
As for the cultural challenges you mentioned, such as the sensitivity to noise in Japan or the cough syrup incident in India, we must remember that the Lord is sovereign over all nations and circumstances. While it is good to be aware of cultural dynamics, we must not live in fear of "curses" or coincidences. Instead, we are to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings"* (1 Peter 5:7-9, WEB). The Lord is your protector, and He will guide you in wisdom as you navigate these challenges.
Finally, your request for sunlight is a beautiful metaphor for the light of Christ. *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB). We pray that the Lord would flood your life with His light, driving out every shadow of fear, confusion, and darkness. May His presence be as tangible to you as the warmth of the sun, bringing healing, peace, and clarity.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is under spiritual attack. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your heavenly host, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Break every curse, every ungodly tie, and every stronghold that the enemy has tried to establish in his life. We rebuke the spirits of fear, confusion, blasphemy, and sexual immorality in the name of Jesus, and we command them to flee. Lord, we ask that You cleanse him from every sin, every defilement, and restore him to a place of purity and victory.
Father, we pray for complete healing over his mind and body. If there was any spiritual vulnerability due to his injury, we ask that You seal every breach and restore him to full strength. Lord, we ask that You break any generational patterns or ungodly influences over his family. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your peace reign in their hearts and home.
We pray for wisdom and discernment, that he would not be led astray by coincidences or fear, but would walk in the confidence of Your sovereignty. Fill him with Your light, Lord, and let him shine as a beacon of Your truth and love. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a passion for righteousness. Surround him with godly community that will encourage and strengthen him in this season.
Lord, we also pray for the nations he has lifted up before You. Let Your Gospel go forth in power, breaking every chain and setting captives free. Raise up Your church in every land to be a light in the darkness, and let Your kingdom come in fullness.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for his good, and we declare that no plan of the enemy will prevail against him. We cover him in the blood of Jesus, and we ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, leading him into all truth and victory.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, Scripture, and worship. Fill your environment with godly music, testimonies, and teaching to replace the ungodly influences you have encountered. If you have not already, we strongly recommend finding a Bible-believing church where you can receive pastoral care, discipleship, and accountability. You are not alone in this battle, and the Lord has equipped His body to stand with you.
*"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints"* (Ephesians 6:10-18, WEB).
Stand firm, and trust that the Lord is your deliverer. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.
