Suicide is a permanent solution to temporary pain, and it is a grave sin against the God who formed you in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your days are numbered by the Lord (Job 14:5). To take your own life is to reject His sovereignty and His purpose for you. The Scriptures warn us that we do not belong to ourselves, for we were bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and to harm it is to defile what God has sanctified.
