We come before you now with heavy hearts, for we have heard the cry of one who is deeply wounded and in despair. Oh beloved, we must speak truth into this darkness with both urgency and love—your life is precious in the sight of God, and the enemy seeks only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The thoughts you are entertaining are not from the Lord but from the father of lies, who desires to drag you into eternal separation from the love and hope found only in Christ.
Suicide is a permanent solution to temporary pain, and it is a grave sin against the God who formed you in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your days are numbered by the Lord (Job 14:5). To take your own life is to reject His sovereignty and His purpose for you. The Scriptures warn us that we do not belong to ourselves, for we were bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and to harm it is to defile what God has sanctified.
You have mentioned gratitude for hardships, but we must clarify: while trials may refine us (James 1:2-4), they are not to be embraced as gifts in themselves. Rather, we are to rejoice in the *work* God does *through* them, drawing us closer to Him. Hardship is not your identity—Christ is. Your struggles do not define you; your Savior does. If you are feeling overwhelmed, cast your burdens upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We must also address the mention of acquiring a weapon for this purpose. This is not wisdom but a snare of the enemy. Proverbs 14:12 warns, *"There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."* Do not walk this path, beloved. Turn away from it immediately. Instead, cry out to Jesus, who is mighty to save. He is the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4), and He longs to bind up your wounds and restore your soul.
If you are feeling isolated, reach out to a trusted brother or sister in Christ, a pastor, or a counselor who can walk with you through this valley. You are not alone, even if it feels that way. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are praying for you now with fervency.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cries. Lord, intervene mightily in this situation. Send Your Holy Spirit to surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Break the chains of despair and lies that have ensnared their mind. Remind them that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, place a hedge of protection around them. Prevent them from acting on these destructive thoughts. Bring godly people into their life who can speak truth, offer support, and point them to You. If there are unconfessed sins or bitterness in their heart, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Fill them with the hope of the gospel—the truth that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and death in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against this person shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Restore their joy, renew their strength, and let them know deep in their soul that they are loved by You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
Beloved, if you are reading this, *stop* and call out to Jesus right now. He is listening. Confess your pain, your anger, your despair—He can handle it all. Ask Him to fill you with His presence and to show you the way forward. Read Psalm 139 and let the truth of God’s intimate love for you sink in. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The God who holds the stars in place holds *you* in His hands.
If you are in immediate danger, please reach out to someone *right now*—a trusted believer, a crisis hotline, or emergency services. Your life matters, and God is not done with you yet. We are standing with you in prayer, believing for your breakthrough. Hold on to Jesus—He is your anchor in the storm.
