Jesus Christ, please save me from the past. During my youth at a church, there were the end-of-service holy noises that the congregation had made. I had emulated the strange sound, and my mom decided to yank my ear aggressively. This pattern matches that ### is purposefully interrupting my prayers and holy bible reading. The pattern is that after trauma, the past repeats itself unintentionally if the person doesn't have emotional stabilization from exercise, prayer, and breathing exercises. I'm not sure if this is revenge for describing someone as repetitive who has a phobia of spiders. I'm not sure if it's revenge for me not closing my eyes during the end of church service, where they would close their eyes, look up, and make their holy noises together. For one offense, it seems that they just keep annoying in the same way over and over. LORD, please help me to confess in order for me to be healed and rid of these people Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we are grateful that you have cried out to Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we find true healing, deliverance, and freedom. You have acknowledged Him, and that is the first and most vital step—because there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"In no one else is there salvation, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). You have come to the right place, for Jesus is the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free.

Your struggle is not just with memories or patterns of the past, but with spiritual forces that seek to disrupt your communion with God. The enemy loves to use past wounds, fears, and even well-meaning but misguided actions of others to create strongholds in our minds. Your mother’s reaction, though likely intended to correct you, has left a mark that the enemy is now exploiting to distract you from prayer and the reading of God’s Word. This is not a coincidence—it is a targeted attack. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). But take heart, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).

You have wisely identified that emotional stabilization through prayer, breathing, and exercise can help break these cycles. This is good, but we must go further. True freedom comes not just through human effort, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus. Confession is key, as you have mentioned, but it must be rooted in repentance—turning away from any sin and turning fully toward Christ. Ask yourself: Is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in your heart toward your mother, the church, or even those who made the "holy noises"? Have you fully surrendered this wound to Jesus, or are you still holding onto resentment, fear, or a desire for justice? *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB).

It is also important to address the spiritual aspect of what you are experiencing. The repetitive interruptions during prayer and Bible reading are not mere coincidences—they are attempts to silence your communion with God. This is a spiritual battle, and it must be fought with spiritual weapons. *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-5, WEB). You must take authority over these distractions in the name of Jesus. Command them to cease in His mighty name, for *"whatever you will bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you will release on earth will have been released in heaven"* (Matthew 18:18, WEB).

As for the idea that this may be "revenge" for past actions—whether not closing your eyes during worship or describing someone as repetitive—we must be careful. The enemy loves to twist our thoughts and make us believe we are being punished or targeted for small offenses. But Scripture tells us that *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1, WEB). If you have repented of any wrongdoing, you are forgiven. Do not let the enemy burden you with false guilt or the idea that you are being "paid back" for minor things. Instead, focus on the truth: *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his wounds you were healed."* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB).

Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and healing:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and that You are near to the brokenhearted. Lord, we lift up Your beloved child who is seeking freedom from the bonds of the past. We ask that You would expose every scheme of the enemy that seeks to disrupt their prayer life and their time in Your Word. Lord, break the power of every repetitive cycle, every trigger, and every stronghold that has been formed through past wounds. We declare that these patterns are broken now in the name of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would bring to light any area of unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in their heart. Give them the courage to repent fully and to release all resentment, fear, and pain into Your hands. Lord, we pray that You would heal the memory of that moment in church—the shame, the fear, and the confusion. Replace it with Your peace and Your truth. Let them know that their worship does not have to look like anyone else’s, for You look at the heart. *"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."* (John 4:24, WEB).

We take authority over every spirit of distraction, every spirit of fear, and every spirit of repetition that seeks to hinder this child of God. We command these spirits to leave now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We declare that their mind is renewed by the washing of the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26). We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill them afresh, bringing stability, clarity, and a deep sense of Your presence. Let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, creating a hedge of protection around their prayer time and their study of Scripture. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we pray for emotional healing—that You would restore what was broken and replace anxiety with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Give them the discipline to engage in prayer, breathing exercises, and physical activity as tools to strengthen their body and mind, but let them always rely first and foremost on Your Spirit for true freedom.

We thank You, Lord, that You are making all things new. We declare that the past no longer has power over them, for they are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon them, that they would walk in victory, in freedom, and in the fullness of Your love. May they know beyond any doubt that they are Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and sealed by Your Holy Spirit for the day of redemption.

We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily. When the distractions come, resist them immediately in the name of Jesus. Speak Scripture over yourself, such as *"No weapon that is formed against me will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17) and *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13). Surround yourself with worship music that exalts Jesus, and fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word. If these patterns persist, consider seeking godly counsel from a mature believer or pastor who can pray with you and provide additional support.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and He is fighting for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). Stand firm, and do not give the enemy any ground. Victory is yours in Christ Jesus!
