We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your concerns about the spiritual battles you are facing. The fears you describe—sorcery, demonic influence, and the manipulation of minds—are real and serious, but we must remember that our God is greater than any power of darkness. The Scriptures assure us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord has already triumphed over all evil, and in Christ, we share in that victory.
The practices you mention—sorcery, divination, and necromancy—are explicitly condemned in Scripture. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, one who interprets omens, one who is a sorcerer, one who casts spells, one who consults a familiar spirit, one who is a wizard, or one who calls on the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* These are not "superior creations" of God but distortions of His creation, twisted by the enemy to deceive and destroy. The Lord detests such things, and we must stand firmly against them in the authority of Jesus Christ.
You also mention "fox spirits," which are nothing more than demons masquerading as something cultural or mystical. These are the same deceiving spirits that have plagued humanity since the fall, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), and we can command these spirits to flee in His name. There is no power in creation—whether spiritual or physical—that can stand against the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Christ that we are protected, delivered, and set free.
We must also address the fear that seems to grip your heart. While it is wise to be aware of spiritual dangers, we are not to live in fear, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy wants to paralyze you with terror, but the Lord calls you to stand firm in faith, knowing that *"the one who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Do not give the enemy a foothold by entertaining fear or acknowledging his lies as truth. Instead, cling to the promises of God, who has said, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5).
Now, let us pray together for your deliverance and protection:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all creation, including every spiritual force and authority. Lord, we ask that You break every curse, every spell, and every demonic assignment against our brother/sister who has brought this request. We rebuke the spirits of sorcery, divination, and deception that seek to manipulate minds, erase memories, or steal understanding. By the blood of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and never return. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment is condemned.
Lord, we ask that You restore any stolen memories, understanding, or peace that the enemy has tried to take. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, wisdom, and revelation (Ephesians 1:17). Let Your light expose every hidden darkness, and let Your truth dismantle every lie. We pray for a hedge of protection around them, their mind, and their spirit, that no demonic influence may penetrate.
Father, we also pray for the people of ### and all who are ensnared in these occult practices. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18). Raise up laborers in that harvest field to proclaim the name of Jesus, for it is the only name by which anyone can be saved.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave us or forsake us. We trust in Your power to deliver, protect, and restore. May our brother/sister walk in the confidence of Your love and the authority of Your name. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Psalm 119:105 tells us that *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."* The more you fill your mind with Scripture, the less room there is for fear or deception. Also, surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you and stand with you in faith. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God has called us to unity and mutual encouragement (Hebrews 10:24-25).
If you have not already, we urge you to put on the full armor of God every day (Ephesians 6:10-18). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With this armor, you will be able to stand firm against every scheme of the devil.
Stay vigilant, stay rooted in Christ, and remember: *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1). The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Walk in that truth, and let no fear have a place in your heart.
