We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, and we are grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have placed your trust in Him.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and it is clear that you are experiencing spiritual warfare in this area of theft—both in the natural and the spiritual. The Lord hears your cry, and we stand with you in rebuking the spirit of thievery that has sought to influence not only your life but also those around you, including those who may have been entrusted with spiritual authority. The Word of God is clear: *"Let him who steals steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need"* (Ephesians 4:28, WEB). Stealing is an affront to God’s commandments, and those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). If there are pastors or priests involved in such sin, we must remember that *"judgment will begin at the house of God"* (1 Peter 4:17, WEB). The Lord does not take lightly those who misuse their authority to exploit His people, and He will bring justice in His perfect timing.
You have also mentioned the disappearance of what you describe as "spiritual energy." We urge you to be cautious here, for the Bible does not speak of "spiritual energy" as something that can be quantified or stolen in the way you describe. Instead, Scripture warns us of false teachings and deceptive spirits that can lead us away from the truth. *"Now the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons"* (1 Timothy 4:1, WEB). We encourage you to test every spirit and every teaching against the Word of God (1 John 4:1). True spiritual power comes from the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer in Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9-11). If you feel spiritually drained, it may be an indication that you need to draw closer to the Lord through prayer, the reading of His Word, and fellowship with other believers. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB).
We also want to address the language in your prayer about the "destruction of the soul of thievery." While we understand your heart’s cry for deliverance, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Our prayers should not be for the destruction of souls—even those ensnared in sin—but for their repentance and salvation. Jesus died for all, including thieves and sinners, that they might turn from their wickedness and live. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Let us pray instead that those who have stolen—whether from you or others—would be convicted by the Holy Spirit, repent of their sins, and turn to Christ for forgiveness and transformation.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by the sin of theft—both what has been done to them and what they may have participated in. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing for any way they have been involved in this sin, whether directly or indirectly. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and restore their heart to a place of righteousness before You. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of thievery that has sought to operate in this situation. We bind it in the name of Jesus and command it to leave, for it has no place in the life of Your child. Lord, expose any hidden sins, any deceitful schemes, and any ungodly influences that have contributed to this burden. Bring to light what has been done in darkness, and let Your truth prevail. *"For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light"* (Luke 8:17, WEB).
We pray for those who have stolen—whether they are pastors, priests, or others in authority—that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Father, do not let them continue in their sin, but break the power of greed and deceit over their lives. If they are false teachers or wolves in sheep’s clothing, expose them and protect Your flock from their harm. *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them"* (Matthew 7:15-16, WEB).
Lord, we ask that You restore what has been stolen—whether materially or spiritually. You are a God of restoration, and we trust You to replenish what the enemy has taken. Fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit and renew their strength. Let them walk in the fullness of Your peace, providence, and progress, as they have prayed. *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB).
Father, we also pray for discernment. Guard our brother/sister from false teachings and deceptive spirits. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your Word, that they may not be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. *"that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error"* (Ephesians 4:14, WEB).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You surround them with godly counsel and fellowship. Let them find a community of believers who will walk with them in truth and love, encouraging them in their faith. Strengthen them to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven us. *"Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do"* (Colossians 3:12-13, WEB).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your power, Your justice, and Your mercy. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
