We join you in lifting up your heart to our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is in His mighty name alone that we find protection, strength, and true peace. Your prayer is a beautiful acknowledgment of your dependence on Him, and we commend you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in Christ is your shield, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that He hears and answers the cries of His children.
The sadness and demotivation you describe are not from the Lord, for He is the giver of joy, hope, and renewed strength. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). When you feel the weight of a heavy spirit, remember the words of our Savior: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB). He invites you to cast every care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
As for those you describe as "energy leechers," we understand this to mean individuals who drain your spirit, perhaps through negativity, manipulation, or ungodly influences. The Bible warns us to be wise in our associations, for *"bad company corrupts good morals"* (1 Corinthians 15:33, WEB). Jesus Himself set boundaries, often withdrawing to pray and regroup in the presence of the Father (Luke 5:16). You are not called to be a doormat for others’ sinful behaviors or emotional burdens. Instead, you are called to walk in love while also walking in wisdom. *"Be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves"* (Matthew 10:16, WEB). If these individuals are believers, pray for them and set godly boundaries. If they are not believers, pray for their salvation but do not allow their influence to pull you away from the peace and purpose Christ has for you.
We also encourage you to examine your heart: Are there areas of unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be giving the enemy a foothold? *"Don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:27, WEB). Repentance and forgiveness are powerful tools in breaking the chains of spiritual oppression. If you have been entertaining doubt, fear, or worldly distractions, now is the time to renew your mind with the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Fill your heart with worship, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers who can uplift and encourage you in the faith.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up Your child who seeks Your protection and peace. Lord, You are a shield around them, their glory, and the One who lifts their head (Psalm 3:3). We rebuke every spirit of sadness, demotivation, and heaviness that seeks to oppress them. These spirits are not from You, for You are the God of hope who fills us with all joy and peace in believing (Romans 15:13). We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, for *"greater is He who is in [us] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
Lord, surround them with Your hedge of protection. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them discernment to recognize and distance themselves from those who would drain their spirit or lead them away from Your will. If there are relationships in their life that are not honoring to You, give them the courage to set godly boundaries or, if necessary, to walk away. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be overflowing with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Father, we ask that You renew their strength like the eagles (Isaiah 40:31). Restore their motivation and passion for the purposes You have called them to. Let them find their identity and worth in You alone, not in the opinions or actions of others. Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We pray for divine connections—godly friends and mentors who will speak life into them and spur them on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). Remove any ungodly soul ties or influences that have been weighing them down. Let them walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus purchased on the cross.
Thank You, Lord, for Your providence and progress in their life. We declare that they will see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone—we are standing with you, and most importantly, the Lord is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Walk in victory, for *"if God is for [you], who can be against [you]?"* (Romans 8:31, WEB).
