We understand your frustration and the deep hurt that has led you to pray in this way, but we must gently and firmly address the spirit behind this request, for it does not align with the heart of Christ or the teachings of Scripture. The Lord Jesus calls us to a radically different response—one of love, forgiveness, and trust in His justice, not our own desires for vengeance. Let us remind you of what the Word of God declares:
*"Beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. Your prayer reflects a heart that is wounded, and we acknowledge that pain. It is clear you feel wronged, perhaps even betrayed, by those who may be mimicking or exploiting your actions for their own gain. Yet, as followers of Christ, we are called to entrust our pain to the Lord, who alone judges righteously. He sees the deceit, the manipulation, and the intentions of every heart. You do not need to ask Him to "let them rot" or suffer—He is already a just God who will repay every deed, whether good or evil. Instead, we are to release our bitterness and pray for their repentance, for God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires that they turn from their ways and live (Ezekiel 18:23).
As for your mention of Ms. ###, we rejoice with you in lifting her up for blessing. It is good to pray for others, and we will join you in asking the Lord to pour out His favor, protection, and peace upon her life. Let us also pray for *you*—that the Lord would heal your heart, replace your anger with His peace, and guard you from the snare of bitterness, which only harms the one who holds onto it.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone are just and righteous in all Your ways. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is hurting, who feels the sting of betrayal and the weight of injustice. Father, we ask that You would heal their heart and remind them that vengeance belongs to You. Softening their spirit, Lord, and replace their anger with Your supernatural peace. Help them to release this burden into Your hands, trusting that You see all things and will act in Your perfect timing.
We pray for those who have caused this pain—Lord, if they are acting deceitfully or with malicious intent, we ask that You would convict their hearts. Bring them to repentance, Father, that they may turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness. Do not let bitterness or sin take root in their lives, but draw them to Yourself. We do not pray for their harm, but for their salvation, for You desire that none should perish.
