We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer, for we see deep spiritual battles, unresolved sin, and tormenting thoughts that must be addressed in the name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures remind us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Yet we are also told that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but we must repent and turn from sin to walk in the freedom He has provided.
First, we must address the grave concerns in your request. The thoughts of violence, murder, and revenge are not from God but from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). These thoughts must be rebuked in the name of Jesus Christ, for they are an abomination to the Lord. The Bible commands us, *"You shall not murder"* (Exodus 20:13) and *"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’*’ (Romans 12:19). You must renounce these thoughts immediately and ask the Lord to cleanse your mind. *"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on these things"* (Philippians 4:8). If you are struggling with such dark thoughts, we urge you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can help you walk through deliverance and healing.
We also see the weight of unresolved conflicts, past sins, and even childhood actions that you believe may be connected to current spiritual attacks. While it is good to examine your heart, we must remember that *"there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1). If you have repented, God has forgiven you—do not let the enemy accuse you of what Christ has already washed away. However, if there are unconfessed sins, now is the time to bring them before the Lord in true repentance. *"If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:8-9).
The mention of pornography is deeply troubling, for it is a sin that defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). *"Flee from sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* You must turn from this sin completely, seeking accountability and the Lord’s strength to overcome. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We also note that your prayer, while directed to Jesus, contains a mix of fear, confusion, and even superstition about coincidences and perceived "signs." Beloved, we must fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), not on the shifting shadows of circumstance. *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). If you are feeling overwhelmed by spiritual attacks, put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in His truth.
Now, let us pray for you with the authority given to us in Christ Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is under fierce spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to torment him with thoughts of violence, revenge, and fear. We declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17). Father, break every chain of bondage in his mind and heart. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask for forgiveness and cleansing for every sin—known and unknown—that has opened a door to the enemy. If there are generational curses, ungodly soul ties, or words spoken in anger that have given the enemy a foothold, we break their power now in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life, his mind, and his home. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). Strengthen him, Lord, to walk in repentance and victory.
Father, we pray for deliverance from the stronghold of pornography and every lustful thought. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk in purity and self-control. Surround him with godly brothers who will hold him accountable and encourage him in the faith.
We also pray for protection over his work, his interactions, and his daily life. If there are those who seek to harm him spiritually or otherwise, Lord, expose their schemes and render their efforts powerless. *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1). Let him rest in the assurance that You are his defender and his shield.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bring to his remembrance anything that needs to be confessed and repented of, not to condemn him, but to set him free. Fill him with Your peace and the joy of Your salvation. Let him know that *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power to save, deliver, and restore. May Your will be done in his life, and may he walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we urge you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). Seek fellowship with mature believers who can pray with you and guide you. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow in faith and be discipled. Remember, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this battle—Jesus is with you, and He has already overcome the world (John 16:33).
Stand firm, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Walk in the light, and the darkness cannot overcome you. We are praying for you.
