We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We are also thankful that you have sought protection and peace in Jesus' name, for He is our strong tower and our refuge.
We understand that you are feeling spiritually attacked and struggling with feelings of control from past experiences and PTSD. We want to assure you that, in Christ, you have been set free from the power of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death."
We strongly rebuke the enemy's attempts to sabotage your fast and spiritual growth. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come to give us life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand firm on the promise that "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh" (Isaiah 54:17).
We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We urge you to resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Regarding your statement about liquid fasting, we encourage you to seek wisdom and guidance from the Lord. The Bible does not specify that the rewards for fasting are non-existent for men. In fact, Jesus expects that His followers will fast (Matthew 6:16-18). Fasting is a spiritual discipline that can draw us closer to God, and it is not limited by gender. We encourage you to seek God's face and His will for your life through prayer, fasting, and studying His Word.
We also want to address your feelings of control from PTSD and previous drug use. We understand that these struggles can be challenging, but we want to remind you that you are a new creation in Christ. Old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support to help you overcome these challenges. Remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your child to you, seeking your protection and peace in their life. We ask that you would surround them with your heavenly angels, encamping around them and delivering them from any spiritual attacks (Psalm 34:7). We pray that you would break every chain of bondage from their past, setting them free to live the abundant life you have called them to.
Lord, we ask that you would heal their mind and heart from the trauma they have experienced. We pray that you would restore their soul and renew their strength, as they wait on you (Psalm 23:3, Isaiah 40:31). We ask that you would fill them with your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and wisdom (John 16:13).
Father, we pray that you would grant them discernment and wisdom as they seek your face through fasting and prayer. We ask that you would reveal to them your will and purpose for their life, drawing them ever closer to you.
We rebuke the enemy's attempts to sabotage their spiritual growth and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray that you would strengthen them in their inner being, that they may be rooted and grounded in your love (Ephesians 3:16-17).
Lord, we thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that you would grant them restful sleep, free from nightmares and disturbances. We ask that you would fill their dreams with your presence and your promises.
We thank you, Father, for your love and faithfulness, and we trust that you will continue to work in their life, conforming them to the image of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior, and Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's face and His will for your life. We urge you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your spiritual journey. Remember that you are not alone, for God is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
