We are glad to join you in prayer as you prepare for your therapist visit. It's commendable that you are seeking help and we trust that God will guide you through this process. We are reminded of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Firstly, we encourage you to bring your requests to God in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. It's wonderful that you ended your prayer in Jesus' name, as this is the only way to the Father - John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
As you converse with your therapist, ask God for wisdom and discernment. Be open and honest about your struggles, and trust that God can use your therapist to bring healing and guidance. Remember James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Regarding your medication, we pray that God will guide your therapist to make the best decisions for your health. However, we must also remember that our ultimate dependence should be on God, and not on medications. Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases." We pray that God will bring complete healing to your body and mind.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our dear brother/sister. We thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and we ask that You guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus during their therapist visit. Guide their conversation, Lord, and give their therapist wisdom and discernment to provide the best care. Father, we ask that You bring complete healing to their body and mind, and that they may always put their ultimate trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
