We lift our hearts in gratitude and praise to the Lord on this special day, celebrating another year of life for our dear brother or sister in Christ. Father God, we thank You for the precious gift of life and for the unique purpose You have placed within them. Your Word reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We rejoice in Your goodness and faithfulness, trusting that You have great plans for their life.
Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your blessings upon them today and in the days to come. May Your presence be a constant guide, leading them in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Grant them wisdom to discern Your will, strength to walk in obedience, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your love and protection, shielding them from the schemes of the enemy and filling their heart with joy in Your salvation.
We also pray for their spiritual growth and maturity. May they continue to draw near to You, seeking Your face in all things. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), and may they bear much fruit for Your kingdom. Father, if there are areas in their life where they have strayed from Your truth, we ask that You would convict their heart and lead them back to You. Help them to walk in holiness and purity, honoring You in all they do.
If they are seeking a spouse, we pray that You would prepare and bring forth a godly husband or wife who loves You above all else. May their future marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—a covenant built on faith, trust, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33). Guard their heart from impure relationships or desires, and let them wait on You with patience and hope.
Above all, we pray that they would grow deeper in their relationship with You, Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we ask that today would be the day of salvation. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Let Your Holy Spirit fill them with power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We declare Your promises over their life today: that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), that You work all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that their future is secure in Your hands. May this birthday be a reminder of Your faithfulness and a fresh start to walk in the fullness of Your purpose.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
