🕊️Thanks for Video Times, "Everything God does lasts forever," Ecclesiastes 3:14; Prayer Request She Be Hedged with Thorns, Hos 2:6-7, Comes to her Senses and Repents, Luke 15:17-21, and "Stops Sinning SO Nothing Worse Befalls Her," John 5:14, Goes and Sins No More, John 8:10-11...

🙌 Father, it's no small thing to thanks to give for answered prayers ending 4+ months of silence and replacing it with some peace and restoration of video time w/ my young son in Asia. Thank You for agreement in some small yet important matters. Grant a radical return to my 1st Love, Jesus Christ, Rev 3:19-20, let me freely receive love and freely dump love on my boy. May Your will, words & love be first and evident in conversations with the youngster, help form a gracious and compassionate view of God, Ex 34:6, learn to love God, Mark 12:30, and others, Mark 12:31, yet be brought up in righteousness, Eph 6:4, 2 Tim 3:15-16.

Help us learn each others' languages, help me and her both hold our tongues, help me hold nothing against her, but put her in your hands -- Especially the the other people she's been with as we know God cannot be mocked, Gal 6:7, and, Prov 6:32. Let her get off the broad and heavily traveled path that leads to destruction by striving to enter by the narrow gate, Matt 7:13-14. A practical way to do this would be for her to delete her social media profiles and confess her sins to a pastor and have accountability, James 5:16.

The deeds of the flesh are evident, Gal 5:19-20, Rev 22:15 -- Outside are the dogs, the sexually immoral, and those who love to live in (practice) a lie." Keep the boy from evil, Matt 6:13 & both from evil people and the evil one, Jn 17:15. Use her “pastors” let them see through her deceptions, confront sin & hedge her way with thorns so she can’t pursue others, Hos 2:6. Grant her repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, for that's the Gospel, Luke 24:46-47, all of Acts -- Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30, Acts 26:18-20, 2 Cor 7:9-11.

So, Father, we 🙏 thank You in one hand for some time together with my son, Ecclesiastes 7:18, yet with the other, 🧎🏽‍♂️ask she be convicted, Jn 16:8, hedged in with thorns so she can't pursue her lovers, Hos 2:6-7, come to her senses and repent as the prodigal, Lk 15:17-20. Please let her help facilitate calls so they go more smoothly, Prov 31:12. Keep the boy from temptation, sin's influences through wicked spirits, Eph 6:12-19, and keep them from deception, Matt 24:4-8, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, wrongdoing, 2 Cor 13:7, wrongdoing, fear and lies, Zeph 3:13, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 1 Cor 11:26, 2 Thes 3:2, temptation, evil and the evil one, Lk 11:4, Matt 6:13, Jn 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3, Rev 12:9. Thank You in Jesus’ Name.

We join you in thanking our Father for this answered prayer after more than four months of silence, for the restoration of video time with your young son in Asia and for the peace that has begun to replace that painful separation. We give thanks with you for even small yet important agreements, for we know that everything God does lasts forever, Ecclesiastes 3:14, and that He is faithful to keep what He establishes. I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it, Ecclesiastes 3:14. We rejoice with you and we continue to seek Him together for your son's heart.

We pray that the Lord will grant you that radical return to your first love, Jesus Christ, as He promises, As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with me, Revelation 3:19-20. We ask that you may freely receive His love and freely pour that love upon your boy, that your conversations would be filled first with His will, His words and His love, and that your son would come to know the Lord as compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, Exodus 34:6. We pray he will learn to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength, Mark 12:30, and to love your neighbor as yourself, Mark 12:31, and that you may nurture him in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, Ephesians 6:4, for from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:15-16.

We also hear your burden for the mother of your son and we must speak plainly in love about what you have described. You mention the other people she has been with, and you rightly note that God cannot be mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap, Galatians 6:7, and that he who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul, Proverbs 6:32. The Bible teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman and that sexual intimacy outside of that marriage is fornication when unmarried and adultery when married, both of which are sin before God. Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, Galatians 5:19-20, and Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood, Revelation 22:15. We do not say this to condemn but to call what God calls sin, sin, so that repentance may be real. We affirm your desire to hold nothing against her in bitterness but to place her in God's hands, for that is forgiveness entrusting justice to Him.

We agree with you in praying Hosea 2:6-7 over her, Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, so that she can't find her paths. She will follow after her lovers, but she won't overtake them, Hosea 2:6-7. We pray that this hedging would not be to destroy her but to restrain her from pursuing lovers and to bring her to the end of herself. We pray as you do that the Holy Spirit will convict her, He will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment, John 16:8, and that she will come to herself as the prodigal did, But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I'm dying with hunger. I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, Luke 15:17-18, and truly repent. We pray she will hear Jesus' warning, See, you are made well. Sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you, John 5:14, and His mercy, Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more, John 8:11. We pray she will turn from the broad way that leads to destruction and strive to enter by the narrow gate, Enter in by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it, Matthew 7:13-14.

We pray for practical repentance, that she would remove what ensnares her, including social media that facilitates unfaithfulness, and that she would confess her sins to a pastor and walk in accountability, Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed, James 5:16. We ask the Lord to give her pastors discernment to see through deception, to lovingly confront sin and to shepherd her toward holiness, and that she would be granted repentance, for The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. This is the gospel itself, that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, Luke 24:47, as Peter preached Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, Acts 2:38, and Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, Acts 3:19, for God commands all people everywhere to repent, Acts 17:30, and that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance, Acts 26:20, for godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, 2 Corinthians 7:10.

We lift up your son for protection, Father, do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, and we pray as Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, and that You would keep him from temptation and from evil people and from the evil one who deceives the whole world, Revelation 12:9. We pray you would guard him from the schemes of wicked spirits, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12, and that he would be kept from deception, Be careful that no one leads you astray, Matthew 24:4, and from fear and lies, from impostors and evil people, 2 Timothy 3:13, and that the Lord will guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We ask that his mother would do him good, and not harm, all the days of her life, Proverbs 31:12, and would help facilitate calls so they go more smoothly, with self-control of the tongue for you both.

We thank you that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only by that name we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We rest in that name together.

Father, we thank You for the video times You have restored. Continue what You have begun, for what You do lasts forever. Help this father and son to learn each other's languages and hearts, help this father to hold his tongue when needed and to speak grace when needed, and help them both to be kept from evil. Hedge this woman's way with thorns so she cannot pursue sin, convict her deeply, bring her to her senses, grant her godly sorrow and true repentance, and turn her feet to the narrow way. Let her sins be confessed and forsaken, let accountability surround her, and let Your mercy lead her to sin no more. Protect this boy from all evil, from evil people and the evil one, and raise him up in Your righteousness to love You and to love others. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We are thanking God with you for this change after more than four months of silence. Having regular video time with your young son again is such a mercy, and we hear how much you want those minutes to be peaceful, loving, and centered on him.

It is understandable to hold thankfulness for what has been restored in one hand and deep sorrow and concern for your wife in the other. Wanting to hold nothing against her and to place her in God's hands, while also wanting to protect your son and stay faithful to Jesus yourself, is a hard and holy tension to carry.

What you named about wanting to return to your first love and to love your boy well is a good place to stay focused. One steady step that often helps in this kind of season is to keep the video calls simple, consistent and child-centered, with a short predictable rhythm that your son can count on, and to keep learning his language little by little as you are able. It also helps to have one trusted pastor or mature believer who knows your story and can walk with you personally as you process the hurt and make wise decisions going forward.

Father, we thank You for the restored time this father has with his son and for the peace You have given. Keep drawing this dad close to Jesus, give him wisdom to speak with grace and restraint, and help him to love his son in ways that show Your compassion and faithfulness. Protect this boy from harm and from evil, and guard his heart and mind. Work in this wife's heart with Your loving conviction, draw her toward repentance and truth, and give all involved a clear path to walk in Your ways. Guide this family according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for this mercy, that after more than four months of silence He has granted you peace and restored a measure of communion with your young son by video, for everything God does lasts forever and what He opens no man can shut. We thank Him with you for this small yet weighty restoration, and we pray that your own heart may indeed return afresh to your first love, Jesus Christ, who stands at the door and knocks, and that out of that renewed fellowship you may freely receive His love and freely pour that love upon your boy, that your words with him may be seasoned with grace, showing forth the Lord as gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, that the child may learn to love God with all his heart and to love his neighbor, and be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, in the holy Scriptures which are able to make him wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Your prayer for the mother of your son is heard, and we would pray with you according to the Scriptures you have named, yet we would also gently instruct you concerning the nature of true repentance. There are many false kinds of repentance, and we must be warned. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, wrought by judgment or by fear or by being hedged in, which trembles for a season but bears no fruit. The repentance which is unto life is quite another thing. It is not merely being unable to pursue lovers because the way is blocked with thorns, though the Lord may indeed hedge a way with thorns to turn a wanderer, as in Hosea. True repentance is the gift of God, preached in the name of Jesus, wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, and it gives God glory. It is practical, it yields works meet for repentance, it lasts, it does not wither after a few tears, and it sets the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness, for the burnt child dreads the fire. It is not a bitter keeping away from the Father, but like a penitent child laying his head upon his Father's bosom and sobbing out his grief there because he has offended so loving a Father who is so ready to forgive.

We would not have you rest in a prayer that she should merely be stopped or shamed or made unable to sin, as if outward restraint were salvation. Where there is no true repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness of all sins through the blood of Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and in no other name. The deeds of the flesh are evident, and outside are those who love to live in a lie, and God cannot be mocked, and the broad way leads to destruction, while the narrow gate leads to life. We pray therefore not for a forced reformation but for a heart change, that she may come to herself as the prodigal did, and arise and go to her Father. Remember how that parable teaches us that the eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. The prodigal did not first see his father, but his father saw him while he was yet a great way off, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him much, which means much forgiveness and full restoration. Such is the prodigal love of God for returning sinners, and we pray that she may know it, confessing her sin, as James exhorts, and bringing forth fruit that may be seen, whether that be in putting away what feeds temptation, seeking faithful pastoral counsel, and walking in accountability, or in whatever practical holiness the Spirit directs.

For you, dear brother in this trial, we pray that you may hold your tongue and hold nothing against her in bitterness, but put her into the hands of God, who alone can grant repentance, for the Lord does not merely drive men to repentance as a slave is driven with a whip, but draws them by His goodness. Let your conversation with your son be full of Christ, keep him from evil and from the evil one, as our Lord prayed in John seventeen, and deliver him from temptation, as we pray in the pattern of Matthew six, guarding him from the influences of wicked spirits and from deception and from every form of wrongdoing and fear and lie. Pray for him, teach him, love him, and trust the Lord to keep him. And for yourself, remember that repentance lives as long as faith. It is not a thing done once at the beginning and then forgotten, but sweet sister Repentance is charming company all the way to the gates of pearl, keeping us lowly, keeping us looking out of self to Christ and to Christ only.

So we pray: Father, we thank You for this restored time between father and son. Establish that work which You have begun, and let it endure. Grant to this father a deeper return to Christ his first love, with a bridled tongue and a forgiving heart. Guard the little boy from temptation, from evil persons and from the evil one, and raise him to know and love You. And grant, O Lord, in Your great mercy, true repentance unto life to the mother, that being convicted by Your Spirit she may come to her senses, turn from the broad path, enter the narrow gate, forsake the works of darkness, go and sin no more, and find remission of sins in the name of Jesus. Let any hedge You place about her be not only an outward barrier but an inward turning, that she may glorify You by a life that craves holiness. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Christ has died and risen, and repentance and remission of sins are preached in His name. Amen.
