Thanks for Hellong me take Less Heat

Smuelxira

Humble Prayer Warrior
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for letting me take less heat like rain coming and be able to get shade. But please don’t let me get burned or anything and help me from getting any skin cancer or aging up. I really enjoyed having a useful appearance and please let me keep that young appearance. Let me look young. Let me try to stay young for the rest of my life. Terms of appearance that’s what gets me girls, but also not get cancer or die. In the fact that my head hurts. So please help me. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heartfelt plea, and we join you in bringing these concerns before our Heavenly Father. First, we want to acknowledge your gratitude for the shelter and relief you’ve experienced, like rain bringing shade from the heat. That is a beautiful picture of God’s provision, and we are thankful you recognize His hand in it.

However, we must gently address the focus of your prayer. While it is natural to desire good health, protection from illness, and even a youthful appearance, Scripture reminds us that our true worth and beauty come from God, not from outward appearances. The apostle Peter writes, "Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight" (1 Peter 3:3-4 WEB). Similarly, Paul exhorts us, "For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come" (1 Timothy 4:8 WEB).

Your mention of appearance "getting you girls" raises a concern about the motives behind your desires. While it is not wrong to desire companionship, we must be cautious that our focus does not become vain or self-centered. The Bible warns against vanity and pride in our appearance. Proverbs 31:30 (WEB) tells us, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised." This principle applies to all of us, our worth is found in our relationship with God, not in how we look or how others perceive us.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly character in a future spouse rather than relying solely on outward appearance. If you are pursuing relationships, remember that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). Seek a spouse who loves the Lord and shares your faith, for "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Courtship should be entered with the intention of honoring God and pursuing marriage, not merely temporary companionship.

Regarding your health concerns, we absolutely pray for your protection from illness, including skin cancer, and for relief from your headaches. The Lord is our healer, and we trust in His provision. However, we must also remember that our bodies are temporary, and our ultimate hope is in the resurrection and eternal life with Christ. As Paul writes, "For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens" (2 Corinthians 5:1 WEB). Our focus should be on storing up treasures in heaven, not on preserving our earthly bodies indefinitely.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear brother to You. Lord, we thank You for Your provision and protection in his life, for the shelter You have given him from the heat of life’s trials. We ask that You would continue to guard his health, protect him from illness, and grant him relief from his headaches. We pray for Your healing touch, Lord, and for wisdom in caring for the body You have given him.

Father, we ask that You would shift his focus from outward appearance to the beauty of a heart that seeks You. Help him to find his worth and identity in Christ, not in the fleeting opinions of others or the passing trends of this world. Teach him to value godliness, humility, and a gentle spirit, which are precious in Your sight.

Lord, if he is seeking a spouse, we pray that You would guide him to a godly woman who loves You and shares his faith. May their relationship be built on a foundation of mutual respect, love, and a desire to honor You in all things. Guard his heart from vanity, pride, and selfish motives, and fill him with a longing to serve You above all else.

We also pray for his eternal perspective, Father. Remind him that this life is temporary, and our true home is with You. Help him to store up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal (Matthew 6:19-20 WEB). May he find his ultimate joy and satisfaction in You, rather than in the things of this world.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of vanity, fear, or anxiety that may be gripping his heart. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), and that his worth is found in You alone. Fill him with Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your love, that he may walk in the purpose You have for him.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is through His sacrifice that we are saved. Amen.

We’re grateful you reached out, and we hear both the relief and the real fear woven through your prayer. You asked the Lord to give you shade and less heat, and you also asked Him to keep you safe from burns, cancer, and the aging that the sun can cause, that’s not a small thing to carry on your mind. We also noticed that your head is hurting, and we don’t want to brush past that.

Sometimes the wisest way to partner with God in caring for the body He gave us is to let someone with medical training take a look. We’d gently encourage you to bring up the headaches with a doctor, since that kind of ongoing pain deserves attention. And because you’re concerned about sun damage and skin cancer, a visit to a dermatologist can give you solid answers and a plan, rather than letting worry fill in the blanks. Getting checked is not a sign of weak faith; it is good stewardship.

Underneath the health worries, we sense a deeper question about worth. You mentioned that your appearance is what gets you noticed, and you want to keep looking young. We understand how much it matters to feel seen and valued. But we’ve also walked with enough people to know that appearance shifts with time, and that a life built on how we look can become an exhausting chase. Your value was settled long ago, not by what you see in the mirror but by the God who made you and knows you fully. He is not impressed by a young face and does not love you less when age comes, His care for you holds steady.

As you wait for a doctor’s appointment, we simply want to sit with you in the uncertainty, trusting Christ together rather than rushing past it.

Lord Jesus, thank You for small mercies like a patch of shade when the sun is high. We lift our friend’s body to You now, headaches, sun-worn skin, and deep fears about cancer and aging. Give him wisdom to seek good medical help, steady his heart so that worry does not run the show, and grant him the deeper assurance that his life is held safely in Your hands, no matter what changes in the mirror. In Your name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The unvarnished cry of your heart betrays a sickness deeper than any sunburn or feared carcinoma. You seek to preserve an outward form, a "useful appearance" as you call it, for the snaring of temporal affections, yet you tremble at aging and death. This is the fear that hath torment, born of sin, which makes men slaves all their lifetime. What had the Roman legions to fear from that solitary Sufferer? Look at Him and realize the absurdity of the situation! But you, you dread the fading of a flower while your immortal soul stands unready. The fear of death, though itself part of the punishment of sin, is a wise and beneficent arrangement to drive you from your vain idolatry of self and appearance. Happy is the man who feareth always, but let it be the fear of sinning against God, not this slavish dread of losing a youthful countenance to attract the admiration of creatures.

Your head hurts, you say, and you fear cancer and death. The Israelites at the Red Sea were afraid of Pharaoh and then the Lord said to them, "Fear not, stand still and see the salvation of God." But upon what ground can such a word come to one whose chief end is the preservation of his own looks for the sake of getting girls? The fear of God bringeth blessings, but the fear of men bringeth a snare, and such a snare that many feet have been tripped by it. You have inverted the holy order; you fear the loss of that which feeds your pride, yet you do not tremble at the thought of meeting a holy God with a heart full of vanity. Which of you convicts Me of sin? is the challenge of Jesus. Let that pure gaze search your heart. Your prayer, under its thin veneer of piety, asks the Almighty to bless your carnal security and prolong your weapon of worldly conquest. That is not the petition of a child drawing near to a tender Parent; it is the stratagem of a heart at enmity with God, seeking to enlist Him in the service of its own lusts.

What you truly need is deliverance from a far deadlier plague than skin cancer, for sin is the mother of the fear which has torment. This shrinking from death which makes you plead for prolonged youth, this is natural to man as a sinner. It is one of Satan's temptations to make us afraid of Christ, but why should you be afraid of Jesus when He tells you not to be? The remedy is not a guaranteed earthly preservation. Be not deceived; the dominion of death shall be utterly broken only for those in Christ, but for the unrepentant, the terrors remain. Your risen Lord wants you to be happy with a holy, child-like joy, but assured confidence in the goodness of God casts out fear and brings forth everything that is child-like in us. This confidence comes not by securing your fading physique, but by a thoroughgoing repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus, who alone is the End of fear.

Consider the reply of faith to the question of dread. Will He plead against me with His great power? No, but He will put strength in me. No, sinner, hear that word, No; there are sonnets condensed into it. All His attributes, even His consuming fire of holiness, become the guardians of the soul that flees to Christ. But for the man who loves his outward form more than inward grace, that great power remains a terror. May the Holy Spirit reveal the deep idolatry of your heart, and grant you the true fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, that you may be brought to loathe the sin that makes you cling so desperately to a perishing body. Then you shall find that He Himself is your shade upon your right hand, and you need fear no evil, whether sun by day or moon by night, for your life is hid with Christ in God.

You pray to escape the sun's heat, preserve a youthful face for attracting women, and be rid of headache and the fear of death. But do you not see that your very cares breed these afflictions? The headache, the dread of aging, the anxiety over cancer—these sprout from a soul fastened to the body and its fleeting pleasures. You seek shade from the sun, yet you have not sought the shelter of the Most High. You desire a useful appearance, but what is more useless than a beauty that withers and a frame that returns to dust? It is not by outward comeliness that you will gain true favor, but by a heart made pure.

Flee youthful lusts—not only fornication, but every inordinate desire for admiration and bodily ease. These are the marks of a mind not deeply grounded, still wavering. Why glory in appearance and not in heart? Those who do all for display are empty inwardly, like stage-performers skilled in dangerous tricks but worthless in true courage. The star that led the Magi was no common star but a heavenly power transformed into appearance; so your life should not be a vain show but a transformation in Christ.

Make your soul a heaven. The natural heaven stays bright through storms; it is not changed by gathering clouds. So you also can be spotless and pure, unmoved by tribulations or the wiles of the devil. Withdraw yourself from the earth, exalt yourself to that height, and the rains of worldly care will not reach you. Do you not know that luxury only brings headache and a sleep like death? You blame your belly, but it is immoderate desire you ought to curse.

Do not think that old age excuses a slackened spirit. In bodily races, gray hairs slow the runner, but this race requires a soul thoroughly awakened—and the soul is rather strengthened in old age. Then it is in its full vigor, then is it in its pride. Instead of begging God to freeze your outward form, pray for a soul youthful and vigorous in good works. The body's bloom will fail, but the beauty of holiness grows more radiant.

Look upon the sun, the moon, the stars scattered like flowers. This is wealth that breeds no fear of theft; you can be ever confident of having it, without anxiety or care. So treasure up good deeds, and you will possess a joy that is true life. The wicked man, even here, is punished: he lives in perpetual fear, pale and trembling, unable to look any in the face with confidence. Is that a life? No, a horrid death. But he who is conscious of no evil, and who has been fruitful in good, rejoices already.

If you would be free of headache and dread, cease to glory in appearance. Rise, instead, from your bed cheerful and glad, with a conscience bright, and sing hymns to the God of all, thanking Him for every benefit. The Sun of Righteousness has shone; do not close your eyes with love of the flesh or the world's admiration. Then you will find true shade and a healing that no earthly heat can harm.

The prayer you just offered is honest, and I want to walk with you through it, because it touches on some fears that many of us carry silently. When you mention taking less heat, finding shade, and worrying about burning or cancer, that concern for your body is natural. But then the prayer turns toward a deeper anxiety: a dread that your appearance will slip away, that looking young is what gives you worth and draws others to you. And underneath it all, a headache and a fear of death. That is a heavy burden.

Our affection for the sun can become a trap if we’re not careful. The sun is an immense and powerful creation, a furnace giving off more energy in a second than we can fathom, yet it is also decaying. A life that measures itself only by what can be seen and held under that sun, what we look like, who notices us, how many years we can keep a certain image, such a life keeps repeating the same aching patterns. There is a sense in which chasing purpose and security based solely on appearance or the admiration of others always leaves a person frustrated and empty. It’s not that health or looking your best is wrong, but when those things become the foundation of your identity, you end up scared all the time. Fear of loss, fear of age, fear of rejection can start to rule you.

There is a different kind of fear that actually heals us. Not a phobia, not a terror that makes you hide, but a reverential awe of the God who made the sun and set this earth spinning in its perfect orbit. To fear the Lord is to hate evil, and to love what He loves. It is the starting point of all real wisdom. When your life is wrapped up in that awe, in a desire to please Him and walk in His ways, the frantic worry about your face or your hair begins to loosen its grip. You find a confidence that doesn’t come from a mirror, because you know the Lord is your shield.

The enemy loves to use fear as a tool to stop us dead in our tracks. Anxiety about how we look or whether we will get sick can become totally debilitating. The cure for that fear is never in grasping harder at youth or admiration. The cure is to remember the Lord. His greatness, His power, His care for you. Greater is He that is with you than any threat of time or disease. When your eyes shift from the threats under the sun to the glory of the One who sits above it, health can start to flow, health to your body and marrow to your bones, spiritually speaking, as you depart from the evil of trusting in your own image.

So when your head hurts and your heart magnifies these fears, turn it around. Instead of letting fear drive you to desperation about your looks, let it drive you to the feet of Jesus. Ask Him to give you that holy, reverent fear that is the sum of all knowledge. Ask Him to help you hate the sin of vanity and to find your real worth in being His. That is the life that lasts when all labor under the sun is done. I will pray that He calms your fears, eases your pain, and reorients your vision toward the promises that never fade.
