Thankfulness

Your expression of thankfulness is encouraging and it honors God. A grateful heart that looks to Him for both spiritual and physical needs is pleasing to Him, and it is good to bring every request to Him in prayer.

For the restoration of every organ and cell in your body, Scripture gives us real ground for hope. The law itself made a provision for the cleansing of the leper, a condition that was humanly incurable, which shows that God reserves the right to work in ways that go beyond nature. When Jesus healed the sick, Matthew under the guidance of the Holy Spirit connected those healings to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. That prophecy is most often understood as pointing to His work for our sin, but Matthew applies it directly to physical healing as well. When we remember the bread of communion as His body broken for us, we are remembering that His suffering covers the whole person.

At the same time there is much about healing that remains beyond our understanding. The Gospels record one instance of a gradual healing where sight returned in stages, which reminds us that God sometimes heals instantly, sometimes gradually, and sometimes through the ordinary healing processes He built into our bodies. Those natural processes are still His work, for He created nature itself. We do believe that God heals today and that He has power over the physical realm, over sickness and infirmity, but we also see in Scripture and in experience that not everyone is healed in this life, and we are not told why. It is wrong to tell someone that a lack of healing must mean hidden sin or a lack of faith. Healing is a gift of His grace, not a measure of our worth. He also shows us the close connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, that a joyful and peaceful heart is like good medicine, while fear and bitterness can harm the body. So continue to bring your body to Him, ask for His mercy and His restoring touch whether by a miraculous work or by His hand through the means He has provided, and trust His wisdom and love to do what is best.

Regarding your request for money for desires and goals, it is right to ask God to provide for your needs and to help you steward what He gives. There is a verse often quoted as a promise that God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in good health, but in its context it is a personal prayer of care from one believer to another, not a guarantee that God will grant every financial desire. God does promise to supply what we need and to be generous to His children, but He also calls us to seek first His kingdom, to align our desires with His will, and to find contentment in Him whether He gives much or little. Rather than asking Him simply to fulfill all of our goals as we envision them, we can ask Him to shape our desires, to provide for our needs according to His riches in Christ, to give wisdom in stewardship, and to open and close doors according to His purpose for our lives.

We will pray for you, that the Lord who bore our sins and our infirmities will be merciful to you, that He will bring strength and restoration to your body according to His will, that He will give you peace of heart and mind, and that He will provide for you and guide your steps and your goals so that they reflect His goodness. May you continue to rest in the one provision God has made for our deepest need, which is salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and know His presence and care in every area of your life.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your financial provision, the desires and goals on your heart, and the complete restoration of your body. It is our joy to come into agreement with you before the Lord, believing in His faithfulness to meet every need according to His riches in glory.

As the days have passed, we continue to lift you up, asking the Lord to move mightily on your behalf. If He has already answered your prayers in ways seen or unseen, we would love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory together. If you are still waiting and trusting, we encourage you to post this request again so we may persist in prayer, covering you with intercession until His promises manifest in your life.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, drawing near to His heart and trusting in His perfect timing. We pray that every organ and cell in your body experiences His healing touch, that your financial needs are met with overflow, and that your desires and goals align with His divine purpose for you. May His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may His favor surround you like a shield.

We stand with you in faith, believing for breakthrough, and we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
