Thankful For My Blessings

Today I went to a utility company to apply for reduced rates on my bill. During the process, with a very caring young woman, I was reminded of the blessings I have. Even though I am unemployed, I have a home with no mortgage, a car all paid off, a good marriage, less bills than a lot of people, and no major health problems. The girl pointed out to me that Someone is watching over me and I am blessed. I told her I fully agree. I guess we need to be thankful for what we do have and to try and be patient while waiting for our prayers to be answered. I will continue my constant search for a job and know that the Lord will provide and guide me to the most suitable one for me. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name Amen

God, I praise You for the testimony You are giving Donna day by day. Thank you for the gentle reminder offered by this "stranger" - a cause for Donna to reflect and be glad for all she does have. I ask for Your favor and blessing over her job search. May You open a door for her that fills not only her need to work and have income, but to do for others just what this person did for her...offer some gentle witness and hope to those who need it most. In the name of Jesus, we praise Your gracious generosity and healing over our lives. Amen.

Lord, I thank you too for this testimony. It is so wonderful to get testimonies of praise amongst the petitions for help. You are alive and well, Lord. Your blessings testify to that. May we take a step backward, take a deep breath and start counting our blessings. I know for myself, my blessings far outweigh my needs. To you be the glory! I thank you for Donna and for her sweet spirit. I pray you would bless her with a wonderful work opportunity. May your will be done. Amen
