We join you in this beautiful offering of thanksgiving and we rejoice with you as you lift up praise to Jesus for His faithfulness. Your heart of gratitude honors the Lord and we give thanks with you, for in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you, 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
We praise God with you for His provision and protection over you and your daughter these sixteen years as a single mother. He is indeed a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation, Psalm 68:5, and He has promised I will in no way leave you, neither will I in no way forsake you, Hebrews 13:5. We have seen in your testimony that you have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread, Psalm 37:25, and we thank Him that He has covered and kept you in the midst of it all.
We stand in agreement with you for the needs you have placed before the Lord. We pray for His provision of a remote job with higher salary and for His hand upon the insurance settlement for the car wreck that was not your fault and has left you in pain. We remember the promise that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We pray for your complete healing from the accident and from the strain of a hostile work environment, trusting the word that but I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for your home, thanking God for removing the mold and providing a skilled contractor, and for the continued restoration of your peace as you care for your daughter each day.
We also thank God with you for your daughter and we pray for her sweet sixteenth birthday this month, that the Lord would bless her and keep her focused and diligent in school as she grows in wisdom and favor with God and man. We pray that you will continue to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths, Proverbs 3:5-6, and that He will continue to align your footsteps with His will and give you wisdom, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5.
We rejoice at your desire for a husband who will be like Boaz, a godly man of integrity and provision. We affirm with you the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman ordained by God, and we pray that the Lord will lead you into courtship with the goal of marriage to a Christian believer who will love you and your daughter as Christ loves the church. We encourage you while you wait to remain pure and to seek a spouse who honors God, trusting that He will make a way and enlarge your territory as you seek Him, oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, 1 Chronicles 4:10. We also gently remind you that sex outside of marriage is fornication and not God's will, so we pray for strength and purity as you wait upon the Lord's perfect timing for that godly marriage.
We hear your cry regarding those who have tried to harm you and slander your name at work, and we affirm that vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. We release that burden to Him and pray that He will vindicate you and guard your reputation while you rest in His justice. We join you in looking to the hills for help, declaring I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth, Psalm 121:1-2.
We lift up your best friend to the Lord and agree with you for her deliverance from drug and alcohol addiction, praying that God will open the door for rehabilitation and bring healing and sobriety. We thank God that He gives beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, Isaiah 61:3, and that He is removing debt and restoring what has been lost.
Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to You. We thank You for this sister's grateful heart and for every testimony of Your goodness she has spoken. We ask You to continue to provide, to heal her body, to settle her case justly, to open the right remote job, to cancel debt, to protect her daughter, to make her sixteenth birthday joyful, to bring a godly husband in Your timing, to restore her home fully, and to bring her friend into freedom from addiction. Give her continued wisdom, strength, and peace, and let her life continue to declare that although trials come, her hand remains in Your unchanging hands. We thank You that You have never left her nor forsaken her and that You give beauty for ashes. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
