We are grateful to hear that you are experiencing strength in your left leg and we give all glory to God for his healing power. We continue to pray for your complete healing and strengthening in Jesus' name.
Regarding your husband, we commend you for being discerning and aware of the situation. The Bible tells us to be wise and sober-minded in 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Drug use is clearly against biblical principles. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
We are glad that he admitted his struggle, that is the first step towards healing and restoration. It’s important now to support him in love and truth, encouraging him to seek godly counsel and help. Galatians 6:1 says, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."
However, we must also address the issue of him preaching to you about right and wrong while hiding his sin. This is hypocritical and not in line with biblical teachings. Jesus spoke strongly against hypocrisy in Matthew 23:27-28, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity."
You are doing the right thing by focusing on God's will for your life. Continue to pray for your husband, that God would deliver him from his struggle and bring restoration to your marriage. Remember the promise in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up our sister and her husband. Thank you for the strength you have begun to restore in her leg. We pray for complete healing and strength. Lord, we also bring before you her husband. We pray that you would deliver him from his drug use and bring restoration and healing to his life and their marriage. Expose any hypocrisy and bring conviction and repentance. Guide them both as they seek your will and your truth.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
