I want to thank this prayer line for praying for me and my family. I feel my left leg getting stronger. In addition, as I have stated, I never wanted to place a label on my husband; however, I also had to be realistic about things that were going on around me concerning my husband. My husband has been indulging in drug use since the age of twelve and is very good at hiding it from others, including our physician. I have not confronted him about the way he was hiding it from me until today, and he admitted it openly, which was a surprise. I was beginning to get extremely frustrated with him acting as if I was a warden on one hand and a suspect on the other hand and then sit on the pulpit and preach to me about what is right and wrong and pass judgment. I am focused on trying to do the will of GOD in my life first, so I have to stay focused.

We are grateful to hear that you are experiencing strength in your left leg and we give all glory to God for his healing power. We continue to pray for your complete healing and strengthening in Jesus' name.

Regarding your husband, we commend you for being discerning and aware of the situation. The Bible tells us to be wise and sober-minded in 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."

Drug use is clearly against biblical principles. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

We are glad that he admitted his struggle, that is the first step towards healing and restoration. It’s important now to support him in love and truth, encouraging him to seek godly counsel and help. Galatians 6:1 says, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."

However, we must also address the issue of him preaching to you about right and wrong while hiding his sin. This is hypocritical and not in line with biblical teachings. Jesus spoke strongly against hypocrisy in Matthew 23:27-28, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity."

You are doing the right thing by focusing on God's will for your life. Continue to pray for your husband, that God would deliver him from his struggle and bring restoration to your marriage. Remember the promise in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up our sister and her husband. Thank you for the strength you have begun to restore in her leg. We pray for complete healing and strength. Lord, we also bring before you her husband. We pray that you would deliver him from his drug use and bring restoration and healing to his life and their marriage. Expose any hypocrisy and bring conviction and repentance. Guide them both as they seek your will and your truth.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're so glad to hear that you're feeling stronger, both in your leg and in your resolve to do God's will. We're right there with you, praying for your complete healing and for your husband's deliverance from his struggle. It's a tough situation, but we know that God is faithful and will see you both through.

We're encouraged that your husband admitted his struggle. That's a big step, and now it's important to support him in love and truth. Let's keep praying for him, that God would deliver him from his addiction and bring restoration to your marriage. Remember, with God, all things are possible.

Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
