We join with you in heartfelt thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, for He alone is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. It is wonderful to see your heart overflowing with gratitude for the many ways God has blessed you and your family. Truly, every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights, in whom there is no variation or shifting shadow (James 1:17).
We do, however, need to address something with love and truth. In your praise, you included "mother mary" alongside the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. While we understand this may come from a place of sincerity, Scripture is clear that our prayers and worship are to be directed to God alone—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is our sole Mediator, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (1 Timothy 2:5, Acts 4:12). Mary was a blessed woman chosen by God to bear the Savior, but she is not divine, nor is she to be prayed to or worshipped. The Bible never instructs us to pray to her or to any other saint, living or departed. Our focus must remain on Christ alone, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
Let us turn our hearts fully to the Lord in prayer, giving Him all the glory for His marvelous works in your life and family:
---
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, lifting up our sister and her family to You. Lord, we thank You for Your unfailing love, Your provision, and Your protection over them. You alone are their Savior, their Provider, and their Guide. We praise You for the abundance of Your grace and the blessings You have poured out upon them in their lives, their family, their workplace, and their careers. Every good thing they have comes from Your hand, and we acknowledge You as the source of all their success and peace.
Father, we ask that You continue to lead and guide this family in Your holy will. Direct their minds, their hearts, and their souls to walk in Your ways, to live lives of praise, thanksgiving, and obedience to You. May they seek Your kingdom first in all things, trusting You to provide for their every need (Matthew 6:33). Lord, we pray that You bless their work and careers, that every meeting, client interaction, tender, and email would be fruitful and successful, not for their own glory, but for Yours. May their work be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may they use the gifts and opportunities You’ve given them to honor You in all they do.
We lift up their children to You, Father. May they grow in wisdom, knowledge, and stature, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). Fill their hearts with kindness, love, empathy, and respect for others. Help them to be attentive to learning Your values and to walk in Your truth all the days of their lives. Protect them, Lord, and keep them healthy in body, mind, and spirit. May they come to know You personally as their Savior and Lord, and may their lives reflect Your love and grace to the world around them.
Father, we also pray for spiritual discernment for this family. Guard their hearts and minds from any teaching or practice that does not align with Your Word. Help them to test everything against Scripture, holding fast to what is true and rejecting what is not (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Remind them that salvation and access to You come through Jesus Christ alone, and may they continually grow in their relationship with Him.
We rebuke any distraction or deception that would seek to draw their attention away from worshipping You in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Let their lives be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You, as they offer their thanksgiving and praise to You alone (Romans 12:1).
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they walk closely with You each day. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your strength as they trust in You.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
---
Sister, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Your gratitude is a beautiful offering to Him, and we urge you to keep your focus on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Spend time in His Word daily, allowing it to shape your prayers and your life. If you ever feel uncertain about what aligns with Scripture, don’t hesitate to ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom—He is your Helper and Guide (John 14:26).
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Stay rooted in Christ, and may your family continue to experience the fullness of His love and grace.
